igloohome 4+

First I should say, I LOVE the idea of the igloohome key box. It’s a handsome device and extremely clever. Someone who’s very good at math had to come up with this. The way it works is a mystery to me.

But...

I had a mechanical problem with the padlock portion at the top of the device. Basically, the key wasn’t turning the latch far enough to open or close the padlock.

I sent a couple of messages to customer support, got a Zen Desk auto-reply back saying we’ll be right with you, and heard nothing for a month. Tried again, same story.

Meanwhile, it seems that the device can’t really cope even with San Francisco’s mild weather as the electronics also stopped working after a few months. We tried using the jumpstart option to open the face of the device. No joy.

To add insult to injury, once you have an account, there is no way on the app or on their website to cancel it. You have to reach a person on their end to do it.

I suppose they must be a pretty new start up, and are eagerly learning the lessons of how to run a decent business. One thing engineering school, or any school, doesn’t teach is great customer service. That can only come with maturity and experience in the field.

I’m sure in a couple of years they’ll be much improved.

Igloohome so I know you make padlocks and you make other things. Can you please make with your company safes, but can you just not make any Safe? Can you make it safe that has the igloo Home app? so you can be able to enter the passcode but if you ever forget the passcode, you can go on the safe and you can enter the passcode and if you ever forget the passcode, the passcode will be stored in the app and the safe would be really tough and really strong and the toughest Safe ever in the history. I want your company to make a safe 100%. It would be very cool if your company did that 100% and make small models, big models, mini models, huge models, toughest models, white models, really toughest models so that people can protect their items in a safe, but with the Igloohome app 100% an offer included the hub if you get the Safe and you can use it with all your other products 100%

The app interface is pretty simple and easy to figure out and manage. Overall I'm satisfied with the functionality of the app - but the glitches within the app are maddening. My biggest glitch complaint/frustration is the frequency with which the app auto-logs me out. Having to input my email and password every couple weeks is incredibly inconvenient and annoying. I'd be thrilled if they added face-scan login and fixed this glitch to make sign in quick, easy, and reliable while keeping the app secure.
