Description
GPS taxi meter app for those who earn by driving. Perfect for towing, shuttle buses, limo services or taxi drivers. Allows to setup unlimited number of tariffs, and charge for distance driven or time passed (or both). Provides trip extras management, so extras can be added or removed with one tap.
+UNLIMITED NUMBER OF TARIFFS. Each tariff allows to charge either for distance (miles or kilometers) or for time. It is even possible to charge for time only when speed drops under some configurable value.
+TRIPS LOG, STATS, RECEIPTS. Everything you need for billing and book keeping. Filter by month or year. Search through the trips log with start/end address, notes.
+FLEXIBLE EXTRAS. You can define your extras in advance and add to the trip easily or you can add arbitrary extra amounts to the trip as you drive. You can review trip extras at any moment to remove or edit them.
+ONE TAP TARIFFS SWITCH. You can pick which tariffs to see in the tariffs switch panel and switch with one tap between them.
+CONFIGURABLE NUMBER OF DECIMAL PLACES IN TAXI FARE. Setup speedometer to show 1 or 2 decimal places in a taxi fare, or no decimals at all.
+SQUARE PAYMENTS AND PRINTING. Integrates with Square Point Of Sale app for secure payments (including credit cards) and also for receipt printing. *Square integration requires in-app upgrade.
+SUMUP PAYMENTS. Integrates natively with SumUp payments/terminal provider so you use all of the payment types that SumUp provides without leaving the app.
+ FARE CALCULATOR. Estimate a trip price given a start and end address. Start a trip in the app and open turn by turn navigation in another app, or just review turn by turn routes in another app. Provide fare calculations (quotes) to your customers.
+BUILT-IN SPEEDOMETER. As you often need to know the speed when you drive.
+ UNIVERSAL APP. No need to pay twice! Taximeter works on iPhones and cellular iPads. All in retina graphics. Side by side and split view is supported on iPads, so you can run navigation apps side by side with taximeter!
+ BACKGROUND MODE! Taximeter automatically works in background when taxi trip is active. You can use other apps while taximeter does its job in the background!
FREE version provides you with 10 taxi trips. If you need more taxi trips please upgrade. If you've ever purchased the paid app or upgraded, please use "Restore purchases" button.
! You can use this app on your iPhone as well as on any cellular iPad. **App will not work properly on iPods and wifi only iPads as they don't have GPS (external GPS module is required).
! Please note that as with all GPS apps, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Taxi driver a must
Very easy to master and has way more features than a regular meter. It requires some calibration though. It's easy to use, friendly and a timesaver. Display is very easy to read. Highly recommend it. Being able to customize rates for every occasion or customer needs is just one of its many features.
The only downs I see are the fact you cannot recall over 30 calls to do your closing at the end of your time period to bill customers. It would be nice to check all call within a month or two behind instead of 30 calls only. Also, a little speed would be welcome too.

Dear Galegopc, Thank you for your kind words and suggestions! You know, you can recall the trips for each month. When you tap on that "Last 10" to show more trips, there is a switch there - "Last", "Started" and "Finished". "Started" and "Finished" do allow to pick the month to show ALL trips that started or finished in that month. Please pick "Started" or "Finished" then month that you need to show the trips for and the app will show you all trips for that month. A good reminder for me that I need to make this filter thing more intuitive. As for "Also, a little speed would be welcome too", please let me know more via stan@blocoware.com - I'll surely be happy to improve the app. Yours and thankful! Stan, the app developer.
Does the job and that’s about it?
I’ve been using this app for about three months now. The only positive aspect of this app is it works flawlessly with Square payment system and making very nice receipts. It doesn’t include a pre-trip. Calculator which is extremely useful and needed very often. I have to go to a Samsung app to get that. The only decent one I can find for iPhone is Taxi meter, other apps include being able to run Google maps and the meter at the same time so that when you start your Google maps to find location, you don’t forget to start the meter. There’s no way to do that with this app. Many times while focusing on finding direction to the location it’s easy To overlook switching back to your Taximeter and hitting start. When this happens because this has no pre-trip, calculator, there’s no way to even get a close guesstimate of what is owed for fair, except through mileage, times mileage rate. Just a few minor tweaks and this could be an excellent app, I really do like the receipts and how they keep track of start and stop address and how flawlessly it switches over to square for tap to pay or swipe card.

Unbelievable
By far the best application I have ever used. I have been a taxi driver for 30 years this is a great asset to use for your records track your weekly daily monthly effort to make sure your getting the most out of your work the best way to manage your business makes the use of credit simple and fun and allow you to have personal tariff to give your regular customers their own special deal get this app and go pro this app is perfect it can’t be better if he wanted to show off maybe toss in an expense category for fuel and whatever so you can see what should be n your pocket great app thank you for thinking of us
