Matt Dewitt, Ian Hurricane coverage
Our Daughter and family live in Fort Myers but went to a safer place in Cape Coral to weather the hurricane. My husband and I are back in California unable to be there with them. Having Matt’s home town insight was invaluable for us here helplessly watching and so extremely worried. He knows these cities and the areas to be most concerned about and he has the knowledge to understand in detail so much that we didn’t realize or comprehend! We were so grateful for his ability to explain things so well from a personal experienced perspective with such a caring manner that made us feel like we had a friend that understood! What a gift he is to the community and to the WINK news team! From the bottom of our hearts thank you Matt, you truly made a big difference during a extremely difficult time for our family!

As a Bonita Springs home owner who we scheduled to return for the winter the horrible day of the hurricane,may I keep it simple by saying bless all of you for the most informative updates. I downloaded Wink News on my phone and have been literally listening and watching nonstop. We are new home owners there,but have been renting for couple of years and always tuned into Wink News. The professional performance and compassion by all of you there is wonderful. We live on Cape Cod in Massachusetts in the summer and beautiful South West Florida for the winter. Bless you all. I am a news hound. I look at news feeds several times a day. You don’t update your stories frequently enough. To have stories that are from a day or so ago isn’t current For example when looking for vaccine information when things change rapidly your story might be 19 hours old. Don’t even get me started about Sunday’s. I think you take that day off completely.
I laugh when your commercial says you provide the most current, up to date news.
My other complaint is that you do not always answer-who, what, when or where. There might have been a crime and you tell us in Cape Coral. Well where in Cape Coral? In my neighborhood?
I do enjoy your tv broadcasts but you app really needs help.
