It’s all there
They have everything on their app that other bigger banks have and possibly more- you can link your other accts and see them too. You can do member to member transfers. They give you a lot of financial tools. Find ATMs quick. Easy to use. You can enable face recognition to open the app or always use a password. I like it to transfer money to my teens when I need to or from their account to mine or from their account to their sibling’s. I use it to transfer money to my adult daughter or to my mother-in- law, who are both members.
Adelfi Banking App - Convenient but still frustrating
Since the credit union is in one state and I live in another, this is far better than trying to bank in person or by mail. However, there are glitches that persist despite repeated complaints. Namely:
1. Supposedly fee free ATMs listed in the app are not fee, and none exist near my place of residence.
2. The app frequently fails to read apparently clear pictures of checks for deposit. This requires taking new pictures in different lighting, angles and magnification until it accepts them. I cannot tell what it is requiring, and there’s no apparent pattern to this. So, it can take many tries before it works.
3. The app seems to forget my most recent password and I have to call in to get it reset. Typically this happens on a weekend when I am traveling, so it’s REALLY inconvenient!
4. For some reason deposits (especially paychecks) to checking end up in savings instead. Then I am fined for making too many transfers from savings to checking. Thankfully they usually reverse the fines when I call to complain; but I would rather this stopped happening!
Great App and Credit Union So Far
In January 2024, I opened accounts with this credit union after an unpleasant experience with Axos bank. Not only does Axos bank have strange banking rules, their app is always moving slow and glitching, which isn't good for a mobile bank. Adelfi has been wonderful. Not only is the customer service awesome, the app works well and their banking service are great this far. I recommend the credit union.
