Ava is fun, easy to use, yet predictions sometimes wrong

The second month of wearing Ava, it predicted my period on the exact date on which it happened, however, later it changed my cycle as it said based on my physiological parameters it moved my cycle out. It was then showing my period to be 2 days later and it happened on the exact day I was predicting (2 days earlier). Ava gave me the wrong prediction. Also for the ovulation, it only calculates it based on when it predicts the period is. When it moved my cycle out, it moved my ovulation day two days later but it wasn’t right. I just feel that Ava is a fun tool for me as it is easy to wear and use and it gives me some information on different things about me while I am sleeping. However, I don’t feel it is useful in predicting ovulation or period. People who don’t have any fertility problems end up getting pregnant eventually and women with regular cycles always have the period around the time they expected, so it’s nothing to do with Ava if someone got pregnant or got their period when it predicted. People with no fertility issues do end up getting pregnant within a year. Maybe Ava does help some and it is definitely better than urine ovulation kits which I would never use. 🤢

Don’t waste your time

I downloaded Ava because some celebrities that I follow on Instagram have it and endorse it regularly... well now I realize they’re probably just getting paid to do so.
I’m always testing period tracker apps to see which one is the best and I’m not trying to get pregnant but when that time comes, I’d like all of that info to just be on one app. So I got Ava... I decided not to get a band before I see how the app is... SO glad that I didn’t waste $250 for a band (that is apparently very cheap according to other reviews)!
So I tried to start imputing my period information and there’s a big calendar in the app but it doesn’t let you add your periods there. Instead, you have to scroll along the top of the screen on a tiny strip of dates to find the ones you want. THEN, you can’t even click on the actual date! I had to click on the 20th if I wanted the 19th. And the 30th if I wanted the 29th. Plus the app is incredibly slow and when I tried to contact support about it, no one responded and nothing happened.
I’ve tried a lot of other period apps and Ava isn’t even number one when you search for one. I’d suggest Femometer, Flo, Period tracker, Clue, Eve, Life, and probably any other ones before I’d suggest Ava. Femometer is the first that comes up when you search for one and it’s worked the best for me so far! Plus I have an Apple Watch that syncs to it so that notifies me when my period is supposed to start and is actually accurate!

Very accurate

Even though they don’t advertise this as a birth control method, I used it for about a year as one - on the days I was fertile my husband and I used precautions, and it worked like a charm. After about a month or so the Ava was spot on with my fertility window and when my period was expected, which allowed for a great natural method of birth control. Then, when the time came to get pregnant I knew exactly when I could conceive, and sure enough a week later I went to the doctor and confirmed I was pregnant. It is *incredibly* accurate. Just make sure you remember to wear it every night. For me it’s a little uncomfortable, but I have the older model.

Also, once you get pregnant, the app is able to track your pregnancy progress and still be used to make sure you’re having a healthy pregnancy (it uses recommendations for things like where your weight should be according to how far along you are, etc.). It is definitely worth the money.

And if something happens to it where it stops working for some reason, they send you a free replacement. Very good customer service.
