Description

Here’s help for memorizing verses in The Navigators' TMS Bible memory program. See, say and record the verses, and play several games to help you commit verses to memory. Tracks memory and review status for multiple participants and gives points for their memory/review activity. Shares memory status information across multiple devices via iCloud.

TMS topics are divided by series:
Live the New Life
Proclaim Christ
Rely on God's Resources
Be Christ's Disciple
Grow in Christlikeness

Bonus: Includes "Growing in Christ" verses - Lessons on Assurance and Lessons on Christian Living; also includes two TMS verses found only in the 2:7 Series

Features and Benefits –
- Encourages memorization and review of important Bible verses
- Make audio recordings and play back to check your recitation
- Verses are currently available in NASB, KJV, NKJV, ESV, NIV and NIV84
- Shares memory status across multiple devices via iCloud
- Easily email a friend to share a verse you are memorizing
- Memory games include Show/Hide, Phrases (show a phrase at a time), Word Take-Away, Initials, and Reference ID (gives the Scripture text and lets you choose the reference)
- Drag-and-drop both Topics and Verse References in a unique implementation of the Bridge and the Wheel (iPad only due to screen space requirements)
- Includes full text of TMS Course Workbook
- The new “Transformed Into His Image” screen is a graphical status report of the number of verses memorized, and also a challenge to apply those verses by becoming more like Him. Further, it is a reminder that Jesus is coming again, perhaps soon! For each verse that is memorized, one “box” is uncovered to reveal a little more of an image of the glorified Christ. The uncovered boxes are slightly shaded, a reminder that even at our best we see only a partial image of His glory. Touch the “But Soon!” button for a full and clear image. So let’s live for Him and grow in His likeness while we still have the opportunity.

Spanish version is now available! NavsTMSesp

Systematic and helpful

I was able to use the app while waiting in lines and making the most of other “down time”. I was hoping to share the app with my family, as it says I can be enabling family share - but I have yet to see that function on the App. I see where to add a user, but they’d have to use my phone, which is not my intention.

Great App I am enjoying it so much

I first used the TMS system when it first came out this app is a fantastic review for me. I first learned all the vs in KJV but taught quizzing using NIV and NASB so I was very confused inventing my own version with parts of all those translations now a friend and I are using the NKJV as sort of an in between translation. She is doing it for the first time we encourage each other and test each other.
I am trying to get my grandkids to use it too.
Lots of activities for review you can even record and play back to see if you got a verse down or not. Get the whole family involved and see some real spiritual growth happening it gives you points for memorizing and reviewing verses.

A vital tool desperately needing an update

Having used the physical TMS for years, this app, unfortunately, not only underwhelms but proves as deficient as previous ill reviews attest. While an awesome idea, the UI looks like something from well over a decade ago, it lacks versatile custom settings, and upon purchasing and trying to set a User, the text box wouldn't even display the letters I was typing as I typed them. And then it proceeded to crash constantly as I tried to navigate to another page. Further, the app developer’s developer site doesn’t even exist. I emailed via Info > Feedback a review, but not sure how far that will go. And, yes, my iOS is up to date. The Navigators have long existed as an exemplary organization that provides vital, practical, AND functional tools for the Gospel. But this app is sadly a disgrace compared to the rest of their superb resources.
