Needs Updated Features

While the app does exactly what it needs to do, it is frustrating to have to go through multiple clicks to reach what you need every time you want to open a specific gate. The app needs to offer the ability to make a widget with a specific gate opening. Also needs to add usability on an Apple Watch (preferably with 1-tap access to a specific gate as well). While I understand the option to use Siri is available, it is a significant battery drain to leave Siri on, as well as a security issue. Please add an Apple Watch function! There are many instances when people have their hands full and can't access their phone (including the fact that in some cities it is illegal to have your phone in your hand while your vehicle is running and/or not parked in a designated parking spot), as such, alternative options to open a specific gate are vitally important.

Hi there- If you use the Siri shortcut set up using the side menu on the app, it will set up Siri but at the same time it will create shortcuts for each access point you set up. You can then add that shortcut to your homescreen and use it for one touch access, and you can do the same with your watch. Depending on what watch face you are using you can even add it to one of the complications so its a button on your watch face. Please email at support@gatewise.com if you need assistance with this.

Simple App that Lacks User Customization Options

Straight forward and easy to use interface, that lacks user organization capabilities. Ideally, I would like to organize doors into groups, listing the doors of my frequently used routes.

I live in a building with several floors, and each floor has dozens of doors. Trying to navigate through the list is time consuming and ineffective.

As is, the app replicates a huge keychain, where keys are in alphabetical order.

IF YOUR COMPLEX HAS THIS… RUN

The amount of times I get stranded without my phone is insane and having only one way to access your home, and that be through a mobile device which can die,run out of service or just not connect, is dangerous and such an annoyance

This app sounded like a good idea for three guys at a bar but when you actually think about it, it’s terribly inconvenient and honestly poses a safety hazard since there is no physical token, key or fob to actually get into the unit. If you don’t have your phone you’re out of luck if your phone dies you’re out of luck if it gets stolen out of luck.

Sometimes it’s convenient and nice but more often than not. It’s a pain in the rear. If you’re complex has this, I recommend thinking twice.
