Description

Multitracker is a live player that allows you to play multiple audio files and midi files comfortably and flexibly with the help of playlists.

If a USB audio interface is connected to the iPad, the audio tracks (stems) of a song can be routed to any of the outputs of the interface. At the same time, the headphone output can also be used as an additional routing destination, so that you have two additional channels available.

To play midi songs, Multitracker provides a midi player that allows each MIDI track to be assigned to any existing Midi device (whether via USB or iPad instrument such as Sound Canvas).

Of course a midi song can be played in sync with audio tracks.

If necessary, a metronome with 9 different click sounds and freely selectable time signature can be added to your song or be played alone.

It has never been easier to play multitrack and midi songs on stage!

Great app that needs some additions

Love the large buttons, but unable to edit song tempos or key changes, which is available on most other live performance apps. Can't perform a simple edit to a song title once it's in a playlist, have to re-load the files and then change the name.
CAN make changes to playlist on the fly which is very useful in a fluid performance environment. Supports as many individual output tracks as your digital i/o can give, so backup vocals can be on output 1, bass on output 2, click on output 3, etc. Very easy to use.

Half of the answer!!!!

Using this app for my solo artist shows along with another app gives me everything I would use mainstage for. The learning curve on how to use this app was kinda big for me but once I saw what it could do I was determined to figure it out. The what I loves; being able to use multiple stems and each stem have its own controls and effects. The what I wishes; I wish reverb was an effect and I wish panning was possible. This is a BIG wish but I wish there was a mixer section that would elevate the need for AUM to be running. There is only one what I don’t like and that is at least on my iPad Air is that on the midi remote settings screen the learn button is not visible. If you rotate the iPad then you can see it(but I just learned this after doing several shows over the course of a few years that would have benefited from using my Irig BlueBoard. But now that I have that set up the way I wanted the app is even better.

Essential app for cover bands using backing sequences

Great app but developer does not respond to emails.

We create instrument and vox tracks for all tunes in our repertoire and import them into the Multitracker app for use in rehearsals and shows. Most of the time, with a new song, we first create the instrument tracks from midi files using Cubase and a Korg Pa4x, and output individual tracks to mp3s to import into Multitracker. For rehearsals, if the bass player, for example, can’t make a rehearsal, the session goes on without him. For shows, routing a click track from the app to the drummer allows us to use backing sequences extensively. The one thing we’d like to see is replication among band members much like in the BandHelper app, which we also rely on. Each band member can purchase Multitracker app, and while there is a way to sync up all band members’ Multitracker instance, it is an annoying and convoluted process. Replication changes/additions when you open the app would be really cool.
