The Message
The Message makes much of the Bible easier to understand. However, it is my opinion that all should read the Bible and try to first understand it in the context in which it was written. Then a person could go to The Message and see how close their own understanding of the Bible was. One should not replace The Bible with The Message.
Could not get all the app functions to work
I like the app, but I tried several times to get the notes function to work. I also found the highlight function is not smooth, to many steps I would try to highlight something and hit the wrong part of a step it would drop out and I would have to start over. The other thing the app says free but to really try or use any of it function you need to buy it for 3.99. I didn’t care for the idea that I couldn’t test it out before I bought it. I did spend the 3.99 bought the app but could not get notes function to work. I deleted app to reload and the want me to pay for it again. I tried app support and received a warning it would compromise my phone and I should cancel out of support. Disappointed with purchase
Not a good app for blind people who use voice over
I have been hunting for a copy of the message Bible that would be good to use. My minister at church recommends it. He said it is a great modern translation. A lot of colloquialisms. Unfortunately it is not very usable with voiceover. It is cumbersome and the help such a section is virtually nil. I am very very disappointed in it. I can only give it one star. Cannot even get the The narration section to work. It says I first have to upgrade the books. I have looked throughout the app trying to find a place to actually purchase the app, but that does not seem to be something I can find.
