Bells are an everyday sound, though we may not even realize how common non-instrumental bells really are! Church bells, school bells and clock tower bells sound out through our communities helping us keep time and announcing when we are running late. Other types of bells, such as the ding of a bicycle bell or the tinkle of sleigh bells in the winter can be heard on the streets, an idyllic reminder of simpler times before fast cars and noisy horns.
But bells don't stop there - many more unique bells add their voice to the soundtrack of our lives every day! Arriving at the front desk of a hotel or business, you may ring a bell for service, just as guests at your home ring the doorbell to announce their arrival. In port cities, ship bells may be heard keeping sailors on a tight schedule throughout the day. Monotonous cowbells can be heard not only in pastures but featured in music and comedy. Perfect for “ring bell for service”
Tired of going to a store and seeing a cash register with no cashier nearby? Is it because the store is working with a skeleton staff or someone’s taking a break that’s longer than necessary? This app should resolve those problems.
I’ve used this at a dollar store and a pharmacy. When I’m ready to check out but they aren’t, I sound the hotel bell. Once they hear the bell and wonder where it’s coming from, my snarky response is, “I’m ringing bell for service.” Ultimately, the staff gets the hint and I’m checked out soon thereafter.
works great IF YOU
You have to have your ringer on the side of your phone turned on lol. No sound will play when you hit buttons if not. That’s why there’s only 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews. These ppl had their ringers off.
