Description

Paperbark is a charming game that tells a beautiful short story of a wombat, the bush and a very hot Australian Summer.

Follow a sleepy wombat who spends its day exploring and foraging, while in search for a new home.

Wander through a beautifully stylized interpretation of Australia, and watch as you bring the illustrated landscape to life, through vibrant watercolors and sounds.

Inspired by iconic Australian storybooks and landscape artists, Paperbark will make a wonderful addition to anyone's library.

Buggy

When I finished the game it won’t let me open the app again to replay or attempt to find all the bugs and things.

Wombat Therapy

This game is wonderful. The music and sounds, the artwork, all give me a chance to recenter and just be present as I walk with a little wombat. It’s best with earbuds. It may be meant as a fun game for all ages and it works very well on that level, but it also helps me with anxiety and getting out of flashbacks due to PTSD. I don’t usually leave reviews(or pay for apps), but hope the game developers know what a difference the little wombat has made for me.

Needs improvement

Nice game but needs improvement. Imagine being an animal which, when it wants to go somewhere, does not immediately move in that direction, but turns first to point itself where it wants to go, then starts moving forward. Dumb, right?

Also very annoying to have to tap the screen every 1-2 seconds, because the field of view is so small you can’t see more than a few paces ahead.

Would be a nice, quiet game to relax with, except for these issues.
