Description

Zombies rise again at the dawn of Apocalypse! In this companion to the smash-hit "Zombie Exodus," can you survive the first few days of the zombie outbreak as the dead rise, society collapses, and the living struggle to survive?

"Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven" is a series of thrilling interactive survival-horror novels by Jim Dattilo, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without animation or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Customize a character using a variety of professions, backgrounds, special challenges, and skills to survive in a brutal and chaotic city as the Zeta virus spreads. Will you be an honorable soldier, searching through neighborhoods to aid survivors? Or will you be a ruthless bandit who loots and robs others for needed supplies? How about a paranoid hacker, psychopathic con artist, pragmatic scientist, or idealistic teenager? Dozens of options allow you to play the character of your choice.

Set in the "Zombie Exodus" world, the first part of "Safe Haven" focuses on the first few days of a viral outbreak which changes the infected into mindless zombies. Explore the changes to society at the start of the pandemic. Board your house, gather supplies, meet over a dozen other characters, and survive encounters with the living dead and even other survivors. Scavenge numerous locations, craft items, and use a variety of skills to survive the many challenges of the apocalypse.

With three brand new chapters and another 310,000 words, "Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven" is now more than than 900,000 in total! That's more than 72,000 each time you play. Given the number of paths from beginning to end, you can have a unique story every time and still never see all there is in "Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven!"

The "Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven" series will continue with future stories in new locations in the coming years.

• Play as male, female or nonbinary, gay, straight, bi, asexual, or aromantic.
• Nineteen backgrounds/professions including Soldier, Teenager, Professional Wrestler, Bank Robber, and Doctor. Or create your own custom class.
• Choose your skill levels in eighteen different apocalyptic skills such as Stealth, Ranged Weapons, Scavenging, and Survival. Level up your skills after each chapter and choose from hobbies to round out your character.
• Select optional challenges for your survivor. Take care of a dependent child or a pet, or deal with a phobia, compulsion, addiction, or affliction.
• Meet other survivors each with their own personalities, motivations, desires, and flaws. Even form romantic relationships with those you meet.

My Favorite Choice-Of Game Thus Far

I’ve been playing Choice-Of games for years, and when they started out, they were simpler in writing, but very fun. As time has gone on, the writing has gotten better, the stories have become much more in-depth, and they’ve also gotten more expensive (though maybe inflation has helped that, too). Anyway, my top favorites are the “Heroes Rise” trilogy, “To the City of the Clouds,” “Choice of the Star Captain,” “Broadsides,” and “Choice of the Vampire.” Since this one has come out, I find it to be the most entertaining, engaging, and re-playable. It has quickly shot to my number one favorite spot. The writing is excellent, in my opinion (with only a few errors here and there, but very few), and the choices you choose really seem to make the story different each time. Mostly though, I just like scavenging for resources and killing zombies. I’ve played through this one about a dozen or so times now, and I just can’t get enough. As of this review, there are only parts 1 & 2, and I can’t wait until the rest of it is finished!

Thank you (PLEASE MAKE A P3)

I got so addicted to this book and it took me two days to read it. I read it over and over again because I died twice but is really good. I wish you guys had a description for Jamie but other than that it’s pretty good and I can’t find the save button so that’s kind of a problem but other than that this is a really good book and I really really really hope you guys get to making the part three to this please don’t forget about this app because I will willingly spend all of my money for it. The storyline is amazing and the fact that you could get so many changes within your story is just so fine and it makes it so interesting. Thank you so much for making this story because if it wasn’t for this story I wouldn’t be into reading.

Best Zombie CYOA Title.

Love it. Only complaint is that the game definitely needs some manual saves or checkpoints/quicksaves along with being able to delete some previous saves as well. When you click the arrow to go back to the main menu, sometimes it doesn’t let you continue your progression if you don’t have a Chapter Save. For example in part one and in chapter three, you go back to the main menu accidentally pressing the back button or closing the app, the game doesn’t save your progress when you press “Play.” Really frustrating having to replay all the progress you’ve done. But other then the tweaks that could be made, the characters all have their own personalities and quirks. The inventory system is a very wide assortment and well-recorded and the plots involved are super easy to get into. Legions above the first Zombie Exodus as everything improved and the romance options are also well made. Well done Jim Datillo and Choice Of Games. Just needs bug fixes and fleshing out.
