It’s a lifesaver

I don’t write reviews but I have to for this app. With 2 presses on your phone you can reach out to your support system to come to you. This can help in so many situations. I have put it on my phone and will be putting it on my children’s phones too as well as encouraging everyone I know to do the same. It is very easy to set up and it is an unassuming icon on your phone so it doesn’t draw attention.

Jessiejb, Thank you so much for your review. We are so glad to have read about your enthusiasm. We hope that this simple application can provide some ease of mind knowing that you and your children have it in your back pockets!

Help with one touch of a button!

I haven't found anything like this on the market. I didn't want an app that alerted authorities when I was feeling suicidal. This app only alerts those whom I choose. And hitting one button is so much easier than trying to find the courage to personally tell someone that I am struggling.

3HAHNE,
This was the exact purpose of this app, and we are thrilled to hear it working! Thank you for sharing your story.

Further Development Testing Needed

I’d recommend to the developers to have the message come from a third party text service instead of a 585 one as it looks like a spam number. I’d also recommend that you warn the person beforehand that a test message is going out; I was testing the app and a message sent and my sister was worried I was in danger. Along similar lines, I’d abbreviate the test message as it is quite long as well as look into ways to reply directly to the message. Good base idea, but would fix the kinks.

Developer Response ,

iLuvMe2192, we are glad to hear that the app worked! Thank you for your comments as they are very helpful. We also would have loved for recipients of the alert text messages to reply back to that message and reach the user but unfortunately, since we use the third party messaging service, Twilio, to send out messages for us it is not possible to receive a reply. The 585 number happens to be the random number that was assigned to our app. There was a lot of debate on whether or not to include information about the introductory text message natively on the app or just on the webpage as we worried some may not add any contacts upon being reminded of this. Your feedback is very helpful in this regard! Look for the feature in the next update. We also agree that the introductory text message is long. We spent months trying to shorten it, but there is just so much information that needs to be included. We are always looking for suggestions. Please contact us and let us know your ideas.
