Complete garbage & stupid copyright STAY AWAY

Very rarely I am tempted to write negative reviews but this one deserves it.

1. Even before you open the app you are asked to create an account. Why not letting me in and try it out?
2. When you create an account you are still able to do NOTHING, but start your “free trial” and you basically have to subscribe. They will charge you after 1 week. Why you don’t let me use it for a week and then offer me subscription? Very unfriendly, suspicious approach.
3. They introduce a term “Materials” in their Terms of Use, and ask you to agree that they are not responsible for whatever materials you upload/record. On the other side for the exact SAME materials they claim all copyrights!? WTH
4. Anything and everything you record and transcribe is owned by them. You have only the right to use your OWN creation for personal/non-profit. Are you joking? I PAID you to use a tool. How come you’d become a owner/co-owner?
5. And finally about the main reason why you MUST STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS - the transcripts are total and utter crap. I did try a very simple one string melody and it was no near to what I have played and recorded, so doing manual edits afterwards would be needed. Can’t imagine trying and recording something more complex.

and here I just closed the app, not worth any more energy spending on it.

So bottom line is - stay away!

Tabbing app owns publishing rights to your songs

I think people who use this app should know that the terms to use it require you to give the app company publishing rights to every song you upload to this app and that you never get any royalty payment, ever. Million seller song? App company owns the publishing rights.

If you’re cool with that, by all means enjoy the app. I just thought you should know what is in the terms of service before you upload your songs and particularly if you pay them to use it.

If you pay them, you in effect pay them to own your publishing rights. I’m not a fan of that arrangement.

Bad all over

Have to create an account with email prior to using, does not tell you what supported instruments are used until after making a recording, does not transcribe properly—used a clean guitar with a VERY slow blues feel on single notes. Don’t bother.
