Description

The ONLY weight training app that predicts and prescribes the right amount of weight you should use on every piece of equipment at your gym.

No more guessing or feeling lost at the gym! ActivTrax is available only at participating gyms and uses the actual equipment available to build a completely personalized exercise experience.

While other apps create generic, pre-defined workouts, ActivTrax is the only fitness tool that accurately prescribes and predicts the exact amount of weight to lift on every set for every piece of fitness equipment at your gym. How do we know others can't do it? We own the patent!

* Customized resistance routines built around your wants, needs & goals
* Accurate weight prescription for every exercise at your gym
* No two visits to the gym are the same -- the amount of exercise variety is based on your experience level
* Exercise instructions and videos illustrate proper form and technique
* Connect your favorite wearable device to track your steps
* Our desktop interface provides insightful progress reports
* Comprehensive nutritional database
* Food journaling and cardio tracking

We make navigating your gym easy by telling you which equipment to use, what exercises to perform, how much weight to lift and even the amount of rest time between sets -- it's all done for you and the routines change with each and every visit to the gym to keep your workouts interesting.

Your performance is automatically analyzed after each workout and any necessary changes are made to ensure you continue to make progress and reach your goals.

And, if you're looking to lose weight, our nutrition tracking and food planning tool allows you to easily record and monitor your caloric balance to help get you to your goal weight.

But all of this is only possible if your gym participates.

What’s New

Version 1.1.41

Recent updates to iOS caused the border around the "Manual Reps" entry field on the keypad screen to disappear. This fix adds background to the field to clarify its location.

Unreliable

This app is a nice idea but not ready for prime time. It frequently gives a “unexpected error” followed by “ignore or restart” when a completed workout is submitted. Then the app hangs and the workout must be entered via the desktop web mode. Remember all your weights and reps?—probably not, so good luck on the accuracy. Prior workout data is not accessible with the app as with the desktop mode. Several other showstoppers as well, indicating either poor testing or poor programming. The previous release was limited in function but was at least stable—wish I could reload it. Avoid this app if possible. That will save you much frustration. Would you PLEASE PLEASE make the pre-swipe left version available again on the App Store?? That version was stable if less fancy in the interface. This version is nigh unusable with spontaneous logoffs and other show stopping program errors. Please roll back to a working version. I just can’t recommend this to my friends or family in its current very buggy state.

Great concept, poor execution

I want to start off saying I LOVE the idea of this app. I’m not very knowledgeable when I comes to working out and the guides have been fantastic as long as generating workouts. However, like many people have said I have had the app restart and lose workouts some, to the point I have started taking screenshots after every set just in case.

Also, for the first time I logged into the website to view a previous workout, and there is so much more information there! Notes to make sure to do a wam up set on certain things at half weight, coloring of workouts to indicate adding or removing weight. Would love seeing that in the app. After seeing previous workouts and many of them all saying to add weight, I will no longer be using the app, except for references on how workouts are done if needed.

Needs work

The main feature this app is missing is working out with a partner. At the computer in the Y you have this option but you have to waste paper & each do an un-fluid sign in with a complicated sign in every time.

The idea of an app is an awesome alternative but it defeats the purpose to leave this feature out.

Additionally.......it isn't easier OR faster to have a list of numbers from 1-20 that you choose the reps. Just put a dad-gum dial pad on it & call it done. This is clunky & confusing.
