Good for finding places- unreliable data

I love this app and use it frequently for finding areas to fish. The more I use it the more I find issues with the data. I have been using it mainly for urban parks and places in the city and often catch species not listed in the app. Not sure how often the information is updated based on stocking reports or other information. But it is maybe best used to get out and explore. There has been one occasion where I went to a location claiming to have cutthroat trout and it was basically cattle ponds full of mud puppies and no fish to be found. I have it three stars because I do use it and it has some serious potential- but there could be more features and better maintained information. I’m sure that CPW would be hard pressed to find the time and resources for such an undertaking- so to me, it is what it is.

Great tool, info needs updated

This is a great tool to find places to fish, get information on these locations, and keep track of your trips, but the information needs updated more often. Some of the most current “statewide conditions” information is from a month ago, conditions could’ve changed quite a bit since then.

Public fishing spots

The difference between this and other fishing apps is that it doesn’t list private lakes. Which is great because with other ones it would say this location was great fishing, and then when I show up there is private property signs. Now there is no guessing since this comes right from the source. Very glad they got this app rolling.
