Description

Now includes two RMS Queen Mary clocks, the Decorative Map of the Atlantic and a Mercer clock!

Appreciate and enjoy the beautiful artwork of MacDonald Gill in this faithful simulation of the Decorative Map of the Atlantic that can be found in the Grand Salon of the RMS Queen Mary.

The app can also be used as a clock displaying the actual time, as it would have been displayed on the map and set to relaxing period music which transitions between many different views enabling an appreciation of the artwork on the entire map.

Crystal ships (Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth) also gracefully glide across the Atlantic map on tracks that showed the ships location to dining guests during voyages.

Also included is information about the map and the RMS Queen Mary.

A Mercer style clock used on the RMS Queen Mary is also now included.

For those enthusiasts of the RMS Queen Mary or art deco artwork, this is a great way to appreciate the ship between visits at it's permanent home in Long Beach, California.

Cool but loud

I really like the visuals and that it works as a clock, but I haven't been able to have the app start with the sound off or using the particular view I had chosen the previous time I'd run it.

Developer Response ,

Thank-you for your positive feedback. If you click on the screen additional options come up, one is to turn off the music and another will allow you to select a particular view, as well as learn more about the background of the fantastic artwork. Not a bad idea to start with a fixed view as an option if previously selected, and we can look to add that to the next version, as well as a mute option based on last preference set. Thanks again.

Music could be more period relavent

As an Ocean Liner buff, I downloaded this immediately, but the music is disappointing. A track from 1936, the year of the RMS QUEEN MARY’s debut would have been more appropriate, rather than a late 1940’s Swing sounding track.

Developer Response ,

The original music files are labelled 1930's style, a period which consisted of swing and jazz. However I appreciate the older style music associated with the period that you refer too and I'll add an option to change the style. The QM sailed until 1967 so different periods might appeal to different people, so I'll try to add other periods as well and provide users the option. Great idea but might take a little time to source music that can be used, make the changes and get the update approved and released. Thank-you.

Not compatible with IPhone x

App is not compatible with iPhone X or the operating system which is the latest from Apple. It literally crashed the phone and had to be deleted from the device after I managed to get the phone to restart.

Developer Response ,

Actually I have it on my own iPhone X, it runs great!!! -

An update is being submitted today, however without contact and knowing other variables it's impossible to know what issues you're having, or if it's related, especially given it tests great on an iPhone X.
