Doesn't pair with iPhone

When I bought this app, I was informed this app can connect to an iPhone as a remote controller. However, when I open the iPhone app, every button does nothing, even there is no instruction telling me how to initiate a pair.
The iPad side can play PDF slideshow normally but this isn't what I pay my money for. Please contact me and fix the remote!
