Charger was broken - frustrating experience

First charger I pulled up to was broken but I didn’t know that until after spending some time with the app and trying to charge. This was my first experience and anew user after the whole sign up process. I wasn’t able to cancel that charge session while I counted the minutes going by - trying to charge and get to my appointment. Finally it let me start a session on another charger.

Not acceptable and flawed app

I am a constant subscriber and user of an EV match charging station by my house which has a unit hosted off of juicebox , and I have seen other people charging off of my session where it charges my credit card in error. There are major major issues with the technology of this app and it’s development. And other major things such as it not being able to charge properly, and when I start and end the session, it doesn’t actually end it, and other people are able to charge off of my session which is extremely alarming. If this continues to happen, I will start to dispute items with the credit card company. Make sure you do not have auto replenish on because other people can just be charging off of your charging session, the app appears to not end the session when you do and the session. And it only appears that a new session has started when somebody enters a session ID. So if nobody ever ends a new session ID then it will just continue to charge off the previous one and constantly update your receipt in error, an investigation with the federal trade commission should be warranted in this circumstance due to unethical and incompetent developers and owners of this app and service

Bad App

I would really like to see EVmatch succeed and think they have a great business plan. But with the buggy app and a lack of adequate support I fear they will struggle for a long time.

Bugs…

I am hosting a charger with a J1772 plug, but it shows my plug type as NEMA 14-50.

I try to delete my “Private Access Information” and it sets my margin to 0% from 20%.

Otherwise, when it is set to 20% it looks like the rate charged to others is at 11% which is 0% on my off-peak hours.

Often when I am switching to different screens in the app, the app freezes and shows only a white screen. I have to force quit the app on my iPhone 11 to regain functionality. My iPhone has plenty of storage left.

In the app in map mode… I repeatedly tap the “-“ to zoom out and it randomly zooms in and out.

I have a few questions submitted through the app and it has been a week and no response. I have others and they are taking too long as well.

It’s a four year old app and the fonts are way to small in much of the app (at least for myself). The readability doesn’t help when there are so many other problems with the app).

I’m using a Wallbox Pulsar Plus 40A and it was at one time connected to the EVmatch systems. The Wallbox app shows “connecting” instead of “connected” to EVmatch. While I don’t know the reason for this, I’m thinking this may be EVmatch issue as well. I have both Wallbox and EVmatch looking into it. But EVmatch has not responded to me.
