What’s New

Version 2.3

NEW:
- Adds serial number, firmware version, battery firmware version, model number etc to vehicle info.
- More overall Ride app stats: longest distance recorded in a single ride, longest duration recorded in a single ride, total locations recorded and most locations recorded in a single ride.
- Adds a way for you to export rides to JSON, and import again. You could use this to export from one device and import on another, until cross-device syncing is built. This also means you can "back up" your rides before trying out a beta of Ride or iOS, since you can't always downgrade.

FIXED:
- Improves odometer calculation, specifically for the Rev which was wildly incorrect. You might find that the value is slightly different or incorrect until you next connect your vehicle.
- Fixes an issue where the app could be killed in the background while a ride is paused, causing you to lose your in-progress ride.
- Fixed a few crashes with Realm, the underlying database that Ride currently uses.
- Fixes a bug where the ride snapshot when sharing a ride would look wrong if the device is in dark mode.

Ride review

It’s amazing!! I was bummed when I could t find the boosted board app. Almost just gave up on app connectivity but decided to give Ride a try. It’s perfect. Much better than the boosted app! Reads my board and has odometer, remaining battery and range, live mph, detailed stats and shows your whole ride path, plus you can click any spot on your path afterwards and see how fast you going there. PLUS the app auto starts and stops when I start and stop riding, no need to even take phone out of pocket unless you want to! I’ve never written a review for an app before, this one is so good and free I just had to. Also there’s a thing that keeps track of photos taken on each ride, but I accidentally clicked “don’t allow access to photos” instead of “allow access to all photos” and can’t figure out how to change it in settings.

A great alternative, one complaint

This app is a great alternative to the boosted app. I love the mapping and ability for it to connect to the board and even change speed modes. Fantastic user interface in all.

My one complaint is that when I’m on the edge of the Bluetooth range (sitting outside after a ride) my phone gets spammed with fully charged and board disconnect notifications because of the Bluetooth constantly dropping and reconnecting.

I realize I could avoid this by just unplugging my board, but maybe only show the charged notification the first time the board hits 100% regardless of if it disconnects and reconnects right after. Same for the disconnect notification. I just don’t like it when I get spammed with the same notifications over and over again.

Great app. Honestly wish more apps were this good.

This app does exactly what it says. Tracks your rides, and even gives you “lifetime” stats in the settings which is cool. Really nothing bad to say about it. It works, and works great! A feature I wish it had was a reminder to start the ride. Meaning if the app senses that you’re moving, it would be cool if it could send a notification asking if your riding - and if you want to track the ride. That would prevent you from forgetting to start the ride. Just a thought. Anyway, this is an amazing app for the price of FREE. Honestly I enjoy my sessions a little more just because I can track them. Thanks developer, gonna throw you bucks!
