So easy!

Update: the app is still great to use. My only issue is with the customer service people. They make stuff up as they go along. I take Otezla & am am part of the Otezla copay assistance program. I send my payment through the Accredo app. I’m waiting for a reimbursement check. Called one CS person & after 22 minutes she told me the check was cut and UPS has it so I can track it thru them. I had a tracking number because anything a label is created for UPS, I automatically get notified by email from UPS. I double checked the tracking # & it was still showing only a label was created. I called Accredo back and spent 35 minutes with another CS rep. She told me it could take up to 30 days to get my check. Basically, both reps had NO CLUE what they were talking about and madethings up as they went along. Finally t the 2nd person figured out I had to talk with Otezla, gave me a number I& it was the wrong number 🤦🏻‍♀️. I called Accredo back, spoke with a 3rd person who put me in touch with the right person. Over 90 minutes to figure out where my check is. I’m ready to start taking another medication do it. An come from a different pharmacy!

This app makes it so easy to order my refills! I’m going on vacation and just realized I will run out of Otezla while I’m away. With the app, I can order and have it delivered before I leave!

There is one super frustrating bug

My doctor switched my meds, and the old med was automatically removed from my Accredo app. Unfortunately, that didn’t remove the medication dose reminder, and I think because the med is gone from my account, it won’t let me open the med reminder settings to turn off the reminder. (It still lets me change settings for my current meds though.) So now I’m get alerts for a med that I no longer take, which I cannot get rid of. From now on I won’t be using that feature in case this happens again, so I turned off my other med reminders, and I’m probably going to have to turn off app notifications entirely to stop it until it is fixed. That’s pretty annoying, since I use the app primarily to get notifications for med refills and shipping.

Hopefully they will fix this. I reported the bug but I don’t know how long it’ll stay this way. I’ll update my review if/when it ever gets addressed.

No one pays attention to the fine detail

When I originally signed up for Accredo because I had a new prescription, I gave a representative my new insurance information as I stated that I have another policy that’s being canceled. After the preauthorization, they shipped my first dose. When it came time to get another dose, they said my insurance information was expired. I gave them my new insurance but apparently nobody listened or paid attention to what I said so I had to go through another preauthorization in fear of not being able to have my refill in time which scared me because the type of medication is life-sustaining. After I thought everything was said and done, I spoke to a representative after I gave them my new insurance information for the second time and they said everything would be OK. I spoke to a representative from Dana Farber and when she called on my behalf to Accredo, they said that I was supposed to call them to give them my information. Again, nobody pays attention to the fine detail and unfortunately I had to get another preauthorization. Finally after stress and all the issues that I went through with the help of a representative from Dana Farber, I was able to get my refill. This is sad and unfortunateAnd nobody should have to go through this stress especially when we are all diagnosed with cancer and that Accredo should understand that. Overall I am not happy and I am not satisfied! I hope this doesn’t happen again when I need another refill.
