Good features, lousy interface

Many good features include an extended keyboard that includes numbers and punctuation all on one keyboard but the way you have to select them is absurd. If you don't swipe up or down just right you get the letter character. You may have to swipe and delete several times to get it right. It is inconsistent and unpredictable. Android's default keyboard lets you just hold the key to get extra characters and works every time. If this app could do that it would be a real winner. 5 stars instead of 3. Please fix. Also, the keys are too narrow and the letters are too small, (it just took me 5 tries to get the ,) resulting in many typos. The autocap is inconsistent, sometimes working, sometimes not. Auto-suggestion is terrible, ignoring obvious typos and misspells.

Small imput sense zones, bad auto cap, caps lock, and autocorrect.

The haptic keyboard is alright but the keys aren't wide enough horizontally, I constantly either miss the keys or hit the wrong keys. It's a lot harder to type with this. Also, when you text over any messaging system, the capitalization doesn't turn back on automatically after you send a message and the caps lock turns off when you backspace. Along with all of that, the autocorrect is unavoidable, it doesnt tell you when its going to autocorrect, and when it does, when you try to delete the word and replace it with the word you orignally wanted to say, it still autocorrects it. It makes it literally impossible to type curtain words, as theres no bubble that pops up to tell you that itll autocorrect that you can click the"x" on so itll cancel. Or when you delete an autocorrected word and replace it, it should realize that the user spelled the word the way its supposed to be and leave it the way it is. At this point ive just completely turned off the autocorrect. I'd like it to be as much like the stock keyboard as possible. I have to sacrifice so many basic feautures such as good autocorrect, good autocapitalization and caps lock, ease of typing because the keys imput zones are too small, and not to mention spending some of my own money, just to get a keyboard that vibrates (the whole reason why i downloaded in the first place).

I'm In Love

I typed my review with this app. I purchased my first iPhone in late 2014 and after using Blackberries for years, had given up hope of ever finding a decent iOS compatible keyboard-- Until now. Although the SwiftBoard isn't perfect, it is BY FAR the best text-friendly (iOS) keyboard that I've managed to find. Here are the pros: A). English teachers, rejoice! With this app, it is now possible to use numbers and standard punctuation without having to jump between multiple screens; this app has renewed my hope for the future of the written word! B). To insert the alternative number/punctuation/symbol, users only need to slide a thumb "up" or "down to select the correct option and C). The spell check is very accurate. Although I'm obviously infatuated, the one flaw that I have found is that the keys/text are very small, though (so far) my typing errors have been minimal. To take it to the next level (after enlarging the keyboard), it would be great if the developer could include a personalizable 5th row and a search option (like GBoard).... Because of this app, I may actually consider a future iPhone purchase. Thank you!
