Description
Wanderings is a location tracking application and accompanying web site (at wanderin.gs) that shows a heatmap of where you've been. It is low effort; just keep the app running in the background on your phone and it will record where you are occasionally using GPS and other location methods. Then come to the website to see a heatmap of where you have been.
Wanderings is privacy friendly; we don't keep a copy of your location data on our own server. Your locations are only stored in iCloud (requiring your password to access) and cached in your local browser for display. The location tracker on the iPhone is designed to have very low impact on your battery; a few percent a day at most.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
This release greatly reduces Time & Location data usage. There's also a new setting to disable recording of location updates, for your clandestine operations.

Had it for more than a year and it’s super interesting
I haven’t seen an app like before and I was happy someone had the idea to do a heat map.
Another thing I think would be cool is if someone developed a heat map based on traffic with a time slider so you could see when average traffic density is highest

If you go to the website, https://wanderin.gs/, do you see all of your locations? The map in the app only shows the most recent locations, but all of your locations should be getting saved, and the website will load them all. If this isn’t the case, it’s definitely a bug and we’d love it if you could send us an email to support@wanderin.gs so we can dig into it.

It’d be better if there was an option to change the sample rate.
Great app but
I got the app about two weeks ago and I really liked it, but I checked the map and it was erasing my old locations. It erased about halve of my map. Why is this happening.
