Have you ever tried going on a shopping spree for new fabrics (in physical stores or online), only to feel completely lost by not knowing exactly how you would use that nice-looking piece of fabric, and end up purchasing the wrong thing - or purchasing the right thing, but in the wrong quantity - or worse, still: Leaving empty-handed?
If your answer is "yes", then Sewing Patterns will be your indispensable companion in the future. The inspiration in the form of your pattern library is right at your fingertips, wherever you go, and you can easily make sure that you purchase the right fabric in the right quantity - and with the right accessories. The app also helps you find inspiration on how to best make use of your current stash of fabric.
The app lets you gain the perfect overview in a single place, whether your patterns are purchased, found in magazines, or your own creations entirely. You can categorize your patterns based from standard garment types, or create as many of your own categories as you like. You can have your patterns sorted alphabetically, by most recent usage, or in any particular order you like. Each pattern can be associated with as many categories as you wish.
It is entirely up to you how many details you want to register for your individual patterns, but the more details you supply, the more help you will find in the built-in filtering function. When browsing your patterns, only the filled-in information is shown, so you won't have to deal with lots of empy fields.
Using the camera, you can supply your pattern details with pictures of the model, the instructions, or perhaps of the finalized garments. You can add as many pictures and PDF files as you like, both for your categories, your patterns and your fabric.
Use the Filter function if you need to search for a specific pattern in your pattern library, or just need inspiration for your next project, based on a specific piece of fabric.
In all aspects, Sewing Patterns is an indispensable app, for the experienced seamstress and the newcomer alike!

Good App; Could Use New Features
This application does what it is to do; however, it would become a great application (for me), if it would implement new features to minimize the input time. One feature that would assist in minimizing the input time is by adding drag and drop. When you add a new pattern and you have pictures of those patterns or even fabric and instead of having to find the pictures in your “album” folder, it would be great to just have your photos and this application open to drag to photo into this application. The final feature that would make this pattern wonderful/perfect is to have a fabric section independent from the pattern section. Many sewers purchase many pieces of fabrics, and it would be wonderful/great to catalogue those pieces of fabric into this application. Moreover, it would be great/terrific to have the ability to search the fabric and identify which pattern (if applicable) that fabric was chosen. With these two changes, although I know they aren’t minor, and we may probably never have these features added, it would make this pattern application perfect just as long as it isn’t removed from the application store. Thanks for creating a good product.

GREAT and highly customizable!!
Seeing as how there don’t seem to be any other pattern apps out there, I love this app! I’m so glad it is still available. I keep everything in it and I love how highly customizable it is. I have a category called “Notes” that I use for my master pattern alterations, and other types of notes. I have another category I call “Ideas” and in that one I take pictures of patterns to think about making and I can easily scroll through all the pictures. Then I have multiple categories for kids and misses, crafts, etc. I even have a whole category just called “Fabrics” where I take pictures of my fabrics, and I can record the fabric content, yardage, etc. A few tips- inside a category it asks for “Model”. I just put the size or size range. I don’t need the pattern number because I can see the picture. This sorts the sizes together especially for kids patterns since I might have size 3 to 8 or 10 to 14. Also, be sure to take a picture of the front and back of the pattern so when you’re at the store you can see your yardage. This app is very quick and easy to use & log all of your patterns in your stash. LOVE THE APP THANK YOU!!

Game changer!
I currently have almost 500 different sewing patterns. I was constantly having to search and forget that I had certain patterns and then I would buy more and then I would find the one I had initially been searching for it and it was just a struggle to keep organized. I stumbled on this one just a few days ago and decided to buy the unlimited version and I love it. I have so far cataloged almost 300 of my patterns and it has been so easy to see what I have and in what sizes and what it looks like and I cannot thank this developer enough for creating this because it seriously has solved such a huge problem in my life. I have been telling everyone I know about it I love it that much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
