Armenian Alphabet Now will help you learn to read and write the Armenian alphabet. The entire alphabet is presented either grouped by similar shapes or in alphabetical order, that cover both print and cursive scripts.
After completing each lesson, a multiple choice quiz will help you test what you've learned. With its simple interface you can learn the alphabet in a few days.

It’s ideal for the beginner and comes with clear pronunciation guides. You’ll hear the name of each letter, the sound they make and a sample word.
Program covers:

- Lessons with print and cursive script
- Sound to hear letters, pronunciation and example words
- How to drawing the cursive letters
- Quiz for all the letters

Study the letters in each lesson and write them down several times. Use the Write tab to learn to write letters in both the cursive and print scripts.

Click on completed, once you know the lesson.

Use the quiz to test your knowledge. Only the lessons marked completed appear in the quiz.

Great works well

Works very well - quiz works you just need to click lessons as complete so it knows which lessons to test you on. I managed to learn the alphabet in about an hour using this.
Only request would be to make the quiz a little faster as there is a few seconds between each question which is good as it pronounces the letter but I like rapid fire personally!

I want to give 5 stars

I am writing as someone who is fluent in Eastern and Western Armenian. I was interested in this app in order to be able to refer it to others. The app has a lot of wonderful points, but there are two major drawbacks. One, it would be great to be able to switch between Eastern and Western pronunciation in the settings. Two, the pronunciation guide needs revision. Some of the examples are awkward, while others of the Western pronunciation descriptions are incorrect.
For example:
There is no “th” (as in the word “thin”) sound in Armenian. Թ is pronounced the same in Eastern as in Western Armenian; as a voiceless aspirated alveolar plosive, as the “t” in the word “top.” There was similarly no “ph” sound as in “phone” in Armenian originally. The letter փ is a voiceless aspirated bilabial plosive, as the “p” in the letter “pot,” also the same as Eastern Armenian. The letter ֆ, which was added post-classically (mostly for being able to transliterate from other languages), is pronounced as the “f” in “four.”

Impressed

I speak Armenian but don’t read/write. I just started using this app. The level of attention and detail that went into this is impressive and very helpful as a beginner.
