ABOUT THE GAME
Lazaretto is an immersive first-person indie survival horror game that puts players in the shoes of an urban explorer - whose investigation of a creepy abandoned quarantine island turns into a strange and dangerous adventure. Atmospheric and surreal, Lazaretto offers a glimpse of a bizarre world beyond human consciousness.

It’s night. You’re all alone, exploring the terrifying ruins of an abandoned quarantine island. Find and collect mysterious clues along your journey. What happened before this strange island was suddenly closed down? Bits and pieces of forgotten artifacts reveal a dark, dramatic and haunted past.

This is only the beginning. You discover unsettling, living nightmares far beyond normal. A mysterious, ghostly seance from the past begs for your participation. Connection with this paranormal world leads to a physical manifestation of the subconscious. Fears and anxieties create a surreal world that you must survive if you want to see another day. You begin to wonder which of these worlds is real and more importantly, which one can you survive.

EXPLORE & SURVIVE
Set in the current day, you play the descendant of a man who once worked at an old and inactive facility rumored to be located on a haunted quarantine island.

WHAT IS A LAZARETTO?
A lazaretto is the historical name for a quarantine station for maritime travelers. Urban exploration is the investigation of rare, abandoned, man-made ruins and structures.

MOOD & TENTION
The eerie and decaying environment coupled with haunting sounds provide an evolving span of contextual tension. You are presented with scenarios ranging from escalating terror to sheer panic.

SOMETHING HAPPENED HERE…BUT WHAT?
You are drawn into a forgotten world where a mysterious and dark history is slowly revealed. There is no spoon-feeding. You come to your own conclusions and interpretations.

Good, but that’s it

I don’t really have much to say about this one. The graphics are great, the story is interesting, locations are polished and detailed, but the game lags right after you get in the hospital. It’s a lot better than before, but I don’t see myself finishing until that gets optimized. But overall, it’s a very solid horror game. Not the best, but not the worst.

Amazingly, underrated horror game on iOS

Very impressed with the devs consistent updates to make the game better, and with the latest update the game now takes up half the space it did before and the frame rate is super buttery smooth. I’ve always loved this game since it first arrived on the App Store from pc port, and I think more people need to try this out.

It’s got a great, tense atmosphere that gives you chills while having a decent (but nicely cryptic) story that serves the player as you progress. This game is all about the experience and the atmosphere. As a premium gamer, I’m so thankful the dev made this a premium buy as well.

I seriously can’t wait for chapter 2!

A Solid Game

I’ll start off with saying it’s nice to see there are still devs making real horror games for mobile platforms. So many awful asset-flipped unity disasters have cluttered the store that I’m amazed this game wasn’t hard to come across.

The monster design is pretty good, handsome hank gave me some outlast style anxiety trying to get away from him. The locations were very detailed and interactive. I wasn’t expecting the game to give me a good feeling of tension but the later areas surprisingly delivered.

I’m hoping episode 2 does pop up on the App Store eventually. Good job!
