VG's Grocery 4+

My family and I have shopped at VGs for literally about 30+ years. We have always thought that the quality and availability of items have always met our expectations during this time or more.
Sometimes people ask me why I shop at VGs when “they” are so expensive. I cannot agree that there is a large difference in the price of food at Meijers, Walmart and VGs. There is a huge difference in customer service and friendliness.
I do sometimes go to both of these stores, but I almost always find it cumbersome and difficult, with little difference in cost.

In closing I want to give a big shout out to the deli department! The food and service is amazing and so customer friendly.

I have been shopping at vgs for over 20 years. I take care of a disabled sibling so finding time to grocery shop is sometimes difficult. I was very happy to start being able to use VG’s for home grocery delivery. However my last experience with them left a lot to be desired.

I did not get the customary text alert that my order was on its way. My brother has a basement apartment in our condo, so I just go upstairs and wait for the delivery when I get the alert. I was called by vgs and said that they attempted to deliver my order but no one was home. I was home. Was told that they do not send messages that an order is on its way, I have the texts still from previous orders that show they do. I was going to call the 800 number to leave a complaint, but decided this was the better place to do that.

I will be using Instacart from now on for my grocery deliveries, I never have problems with them.

I always call the Leroy street Vgs , “ our Vgs!” It is an amazing store, amazing staff! “Our store ,” is well stocked , clean , community based/supportive. The Leroy street location adds class to the North business section of Lake Fenton . As frontline workers, my husband and I are school teachers, we were treated with extraordinary respect during the height of the pandemic. We made sure we thanked all the Vg staff as well!
