Good app, new changes

I’ve used CoinKeeper since it’s inception around 2012. I held onto the original app until just today when my new phone version wouldn’t load the original app. I had the second version of the app a few months back, and purchased premium, but it crashed a lot and made me upset that I had to pay for the features that were once free with the original app. So, since I can no longer use the original, I upgraded to the third app. What I loved about the original app was it’s simplicity— everything I needed was there, at a glance. The interface on this app is quite different, and organizing categories is trickier to do. There is no apparent “goals” category either. But, after adjusting to the changes, the app is becoming more familiar. It will still take some getting used to, but I can confidently say that the app has redeemed itself. My account is still premium too, which is nice— I wouldn’t have guessed that the premium feature would’ve have crossed over from the other app. I hope they continue to develop this and make it run smoothly, but I do miss some of the classic CK feel.

Love it! But…

I love the app. Glad to see the coin interface is back. It makes tracking expenses super easy. But the budget track is horrible. I love the idea. Please make the bars even with one date line for all of them. Right now the length of the bar based on dollar amounts. It makes harder to locate overspending.

Data suddenly gone

Been using this app for a over year and now all that data is suddenly gone. I didn’t make an account so no way to retrieve or back it up since it doesn’t use iCloud backup or have its own backup feature. I tried making a free account on their website but the app doesn’t let you sign in to it. You have to have a paid sub to login. It gives you an ID number at the bottom of the Settings screen but thats pointless since the app reseted on me it gave me a new ID. I didn’t save my old ID number so it’s completely lost. I still have the old app for different expenses and this never happened with that. While this app was ok, I may have to find another app with a proper backup feature. I did like it doesn’t have ads and the graphs were helpful.
