Description

Froggipedia, an engaging, interactive, powerful constructive learning Apple AR which helps explore and discover the unique life cycle and intricate anatomical details of a frog.
It is a sterling example of how AR technology has moved leaps and bounds.
The app provides an immersive and engaging experience which elaborates on each phase of the life cycle of a little amphibian called the frog.
Froggipedia helps us to observe the life cycle of a frog, such as how it turns from a single celled egg in water to a tadpole which in turn metamorphoses into a froglet and eventually a full grown frog. We can further dissect and observe the complex structure of its various organ systems right on our iOS devices using an Apple pencil or your finger.
Thus we get best of both worlds as we get to successfully observe and learn about the structure of a frog and yet cause no harm to life. A fun quiz in the end helps in absorbing the knowledge gained through this innovative app called Froggipedia.

Froggipedia has been awarded "iPad App of the Year" 2018 and is now available in the following languages: Japanese, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin Spanish.

Remember when you dissected a frog in science class? Froggipedia is kind of like that—except without the overwhelming smell of formaldehyde. This immersive biology lesson walks you through the 17-week transformation of a frog from single-celled egg to wriggling tadpole to fully formed amphibian.

Love this app but...

I purchased this app for my 8 year old son because he had learned about the life cycle of frogs before and I thought this would be a great addition to reinforce the lesson that his previous teacher gave on the subject. He loved it so much that when my kindergarten class started doing the frog life cycle I bought my iPad in so I could work with small groups and give everyone a chance to try it and they all gave it two thumbs up. My only problem is that when you used it in AR mode or Life Cycle mode there was no option to turn on a feature that would label the parts. Now I am in the App Store and this app is listed under new ways to learn math and in that mini clip they show that in AR mode you can have all the parts labeled I go back to check mine and still no and not showing me that there are any updates available either. Please add this feature in an upcoming update for both life cycle and ar mode with the ability to turn labeling on and off. Other than that so far no complaints great app.

DogIke ,

helpful and interesting

i love herpetology and there’s no shortage of frogs in the world, so i decided i want to learn about the internal structures of a frog. this app does what it says it does, and provides useful information about the anatomy of a frog. admittedly, the contents are a little shallow, but i found the information provided to be useful. i look forward to future improvements of the app. a recommendation i do have is more information on each of the organs and how they function. this app won’t make you a frog expert but i definitely learned from it and i’m happy that i was able to see the inside of a frog without having to kill a real one. 🐸💚
