Description

Play Hand & Foot Canasta against 3 computerized players.

This is the classic game of Hand and Foot Canasta with great animation. You and your computer team mate play against a team of computer players. The computer players do not cheat -- they follow well established rules for good play. If you are good, you will be able to win.
Each player is dealt a hand of 11 cards plus another pile of 11 cards called a "foot". Both members of a team play cards onto piles on the table that have the same value of cards. A pile of 7 or more cards is called a "canasta". Wild cards can be used on piles (making them "dirty canastas") or without wild cards (making them "clean canastas"). When you play all the cards in your hand, you may pick up your foot pile and continue playing. Once the minimum number of piles has been reached (4 "dirty canastas" and 3 "clean canastas", the first player that discards all the excess cards from their hand goes out and stops the play of that hand. A total of 5 hands are played for a game. Each hand becomes harder (more points required to begin playing cards on the table).
This game is not recommended for devices smaller than the 9.7" iPad because the cards get very small to touch with a finger.

Slow

I have two complaints. The cards move slow from each hand to lay down. It would be nice to be able to adjust the card movement to a players preference. Also, I notice my partner has a hand full of cards that they don’t play, and then they discard a card they could have added to a meld.

Annoying!

Why doesn’t the computer lay down as many cards as possible when they play, rather than waiting until the very end! There are SO many situations where your (computerized) teammate has cards which play, but they hold on to them! This causes me to have to wait to get into my foot!!! I don’t care about my opponents, but my team member needs to play ALL the cards which truly play during their go! I’m constantly waiting for my teammate to make all their plays before I request to go out. Then when I do go out they have over a hundred points, which get deducted.

Also, when a group is played of any card denomination, on their turn, the opponent should NOT pick up from the discard pile simply to make a group of 3!

PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Developer Response ,

Your computerized partner will always lay down any new piles in order to help you get into your foot as soon as possible.
I realize that different players have different styles and preferences. However, the computer players don't lay down extra cards until close to the end of the hand. This is so that they can pick up the pile (if there is advantage to doing so). Once it is possible that someone may go out the computer player will bail out and play as many cards as possible.

Very Frustrating

My partner fails to play cards that are playable, fails to ask to go out when they easily could have and the game is so slow it makes me sleepy. Needs adjustable speed and running totals as each segment is played. I have watched opponents win the game because my partner is not playing their cards when they are available. Please fix these issues!
Just played 4 games where partner #2 let me go out without having played over 200 points that could have been. Please change this right away. There is no good reason to hold cards until the end when partner could have played on them!
