Description

MotoJournal is inspired by the need to have a simple and fast way to keep a journal while out on long riding trips. You can quickly add journal entries along your route and it won't eat your battery while you are riding. MotoJournal is not meant to be yet another app that you have to remember to keep running while you ride. You can add more detailed notes and information at any time and share your entries with friends and family. MotoJournal automatically shows statistics about your ride that will enhance your journal and are fun to look back on.

MotoJournal doesn't just work for motorcycle rides. You can also use it to journal any traveling adventure you would like. Bicycling, mountain biking, driving, boating, and whatever else you can think of.

Features:
- Quickly add entries as you ride in list or map view
- Automatically populates time/date, location, and weather
- Store pictures with journal entries
- Add notes at the journal, day, and entry level
- Share individual journal entries or the entire journal with friends and family
- Read a cleanly formatted journal inside of MotoJournal
- View automatically calculated statistics

Great for logging your rides!

I’ve been keeping a journal on my motorcycle trips for several years now using the notes app, then I can look back later and remember the good roads, good eats, good times, etc.
I’ve used this app on a couple trips now and it’s been really great! I love how it gets all the pertinent info for you automatically, (where/when you are, current weather, etc), so you just need to quickly jot down your own personal stuff, or even nothing at all. That gives you all the reminders you need to fill out the details later.

The ability to enter my odometer reading is also nice, then I can track my pace throughout each day (and trip). If would be nice if it did that automatically I guess, but then I suppose I’d have to worry about keeping my phone plugged into my bike, plus I don’t always have cell service everywhere I ride.

The map view is also really cool to see the big pic of your trip and all your stops.

I should mention that I’ve tried Rever, and it didn’t work for me: there is certainly no journaling capability, I don’t need another Facebook clone, and navigating by trying to follow a line on the screen is stupid... I have a Nav for that.
