Description

A comprehensive restoration of sacred scripture in the English language.

The Eth Cepher Abridged Edition is a robust application of our comprehensive restoration of sacred scripture in the English language, which has been reduced to the number of books (66) found in the traditional bibles of the twentieth century. This free download includes our search engine function also found in the paid app, and links the 3100 transliterated terms found in the Eth Cepher to a quick definition and pronunciation guide. Should you download the complete version of the Eth Cepher, you will enjoy all 87 books, including Chanok, Yovheliym, Yashar, 2 Baruk, and others, together with our notetaking, highlighting, and copying function, and our unique Lexicon, also incorporated into the App.

The Hebrew word eth (את) means divine, and the Hebrew word cepher (ספר) means book, scroll, letter or writing. Hence, the את CEPHER is the “Divine Book”. This collection of sacred scripture restores much of what has been removed and/or incorrectly interpreted in the Bible for centuries!

• Sets forth a translation, rather than a substitution of the names of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• Transliterates over 3,100 other Hebrew names and places without substitution.
• Omitted in other translations, the את has been restored over 10,000 times.
• Corrects the errors (for the first time) in Shiyr HaShiriym (Song of Solomon), Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 14, Zakaryahu (Zechariah) 5, Mattithyahu (Matthew) 23, and corrects several other notorious errors found in virtually all previous English translations.
• Restores the 29th chapter of the Acts of the Apostles chronicling Paul’s journey to Spain.

The Cepher App allows you to easily search the scriptures by keyword, book, chapter or verse and includes:

• The Daily Hebrew Prayer.
• Links to our Weekly Torah Portion, Dr. Stephen Pidgeon’s blog, articles and other free downloads available our website.

A deeper understanding of scripture

I am enjoying the free app with plans to purchase the hard copies and full app. My only frustration is the sensitivity of trying to swipe to another chapter, I feel like I’m playing a harp just to get to the next chapter. I’m also looking forward to audio but I know that’s a work in progress, the only reason other free bible apps have audio which no one seems to understand is those app creators didn’t do the audio themselves, they came with whatever publishers of the bible version that gave them rights to use said bible version. Thank you for working so hard to give us a deeper understanding of scripture.

If you swipe your finger to the right or left, you will be able to move forward to the next chapter or backward to the previous chapter.

I enjoy it but

Since the “update” some verses have been changed. Like Matthew 7:23 which originally said depart from me ye who transgress the Torah, now says “worker of iniquity.” Honestly I believe that the first version got it right, and I don’t know why they had to change it. Also in Galatians 3:19 it adds “Grace was added”. Paul was not talking about grace in that verse, he was talking about the Law/Torah. It’s a great Bible for additional books and original names but, I preferred the original version of this Bible.

Developer Response ,

We took a look at Matthew 7:23 again. "worker of iniquity" is a correct reading based off the Greek language in that verse. In the Gospel of Luke passage that correlates with this passage, the phrase "transgressors of the Torah" is used because the Greek language supports it. We will take a look at the Galatians passage again. Thank you for your feedback. Shalom. We have revisited the Galatians 3:19 passage, and it will be updated in the next release. The word "Grace" will be replaced with the word "It".

Good, but it could be so much better

My main complaint is that they don’t use proper pronouns for my Savior or my Father. They are all lowercase! I was not expecting that at all seeing that they go so far to restore Their names. It makes it difficult to understand who’s being referenced, and honestly it feels disrespectful in My opinion. I would definitely recommend this app. As soon as they add audio to the full version I’ll be buying it, even though it still has the lowercase pronouns, and the search button that doesn’t work, and you can only highlight 6 verses, but I’m praying for an update that fixes this.

We will look at the highlighting and copying feature to see if we can make improvements on your app experience.
