Description

"Distorted Kaleidoscope Art" is a kaleidoscope simulator with unique image distortion effects, which are designed mathematically.

This app simulates dynamic behavior such as collision and rebound of small objects in a container enclosed by mirrors and also generates intriguing distorted images and animations.

There are two lists A and B of image distortion effects, each of which consists of 16 effects. By combining effects selected from each list A and B, you can apply various effects to the kaleidoscope image, making it easy to create fantastic fractal artwork, mysterious mandala artwork, colourful psychedelic artwork, etc.

Also, to generate more dynamic motion and change, we positively devised various ideas such as "finger gravity simulation" and "color morphing effect".

This app will be recommended for those who are getting bored of ordinary Kaleidoscope images or for those who want more exciting and unique abstract arts.

Please note that the app "Distorted Kaleidoscope Art" is high load due to image processing calculation. So we strongly recommend to play this app on iPad pro or higher.

Features:

- 16 types × 16 types of image distortion effect
- Sliders for manipulating parameters of image distortion effects
- Select objects from 28 forms, 18 colors, 10 sizes and 16 angles
- 4 mirror frame shapes
- Slider for zoom and rotational speed of the screen
- Slider for physical simulation speed
- 4 color blend modes
- Switch that prohibits rotation of all objects due to collision or rebound
- Three independent layers with parameters about virtual gravity, rebound, brightness, etc (Objects in the same layer collide with each other, and ones in the different layer go through each other.)
- Finger gravity effect that generates gravity sources by touching the screen
- Color morphing effect that gives continuous color change to the objects
- Randomize properties of the objects
- Undo, Redo
- Save, Load settings
- Save PNG images to camera roll
- Export to iTunes
- 24 example files
- Help function

The main difference with our another app "Kaleidoscope geometric Art":

- Image distortion effects
- Because the physics engine has been changed, the physical dynamics of the objects is slightly different.
- Not support the effect of frictional force.
- Delete slider that controls the effect of finger gravity. (The strength of finger gravity is always constant and finger gravity source generates only attractive force.)
- Finger gravity can not be recorded and is not saved in file.
- The image resolution is better.
- Load of the image processing calculation is larger, and power consumption is also larger.
- Support 120 frame rate for iPad pro 2nd generation.
