* Use our alcohol tracker to track your drinking vs. your limits OR use it as a sobriety counter or sobriety clock to track your sober streak
* Make and track a pledge to stay sober
* Try the first exercise of each course in our library (up to 17 exercises in total) to help you resist urges to drink and build motivation to change

With DH Plus, our paid subscription, members can:

* Join a personalized support group, where you can get encouragement from other people with similar drinking histories (it’s 100% anonymous, so you can share freely)
* Access the rest of our library of over 100 motivational exercises
* Go beyond the drink tracker to get deeper insight on the strategies that help you stick with your limits and the triggers that make you want to drink
* Access insights from the community on strategies that work for them and benefits they’ve seen from sobriety or moderation

Great app

This app is very helpful in multiple ways to cut back or quit drinking. It’s been well worth the fee and my reduction in drinking more than makes up for the money spent. It has a great online community of supportive members who encourage each other, share triumphs, challenges, and tips. It also has a bunch of “lessons” based on cognitive behavioral therapy and other models that you can do and re-do at your own pace, and as many times as you need. It has great tracking tools to track drinks, alcohol free days, urges, downsides, and benefits. Finally, it has great tech-support. There’s a contact form if you have any questions or problems with technical glitches, and they have been very responsive and helpful. Whether you want to quit or just cut back on your drinking for whatever reason I highly recommend it.

Good app overall

I’ve been using the app for going on 2 weeks and have liked it enough to spring for the 6 month membership. I love the program and how there is so many helpful resources there. It really helped me the first couple of days staying distracted and reminding me why I got the app in the first place. The group feature is nice and serves it’s purpose as well. The tracker is ok but it could use some tweaks as many have said. I got this app a few days into being sober and wish I could add those dates to my tracker but there doesn’t seem to be an option.

My only other critique, like many others, is the inability to private message people. I don’t understand the point of having “matches” and when you click “send a message” it sends you back to the group to mention them. There are certain people I connect with more than others and I don’t want to derail the group conversation by having sidebar conversations with individuals. I saw feedback from developers over a year ago that said this feature was “on the roadmap” but I’m disappointed to see it hasn’t happened yet. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that within my 6 month membership this becomes a reality, because otherwise I will likely cancel my subscription. Obviously like many said, some sort of block feature would be important, or even a setting in your profile where you could opt out of receiving private messages.

Great app, one idea I think the developers should consider though

So far this app is really great at keeping me distracted and constantly in touch with people I can actually relate to during my idle time hours through the day and evening. I just wish there always a way to start a private conversation with a person you just naturally click with and relate on a more personal level.

My app suggestion would be to create a messaging system so you can privately talk to a single individual or create a small group of say 4-5 people that you always vibed and just clicked with and connected with on another level.. this messaging app would still be anonymous and I’d prefer that and there should be a feature to report a person that becomes a creep or crosses boundaries and a way to report and send the chat history to admins

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We are so glad the app has been helpful to you. Your suggestion of private messaging, and the accompanying “report a creep” feature, makes a ton of sense to us. We can’t commit to specific timing, but following your suggestion and a few others with similar feedback, we have put this on our roadmap.
