Description

Anyone who has suffered from depression, anxiety, or another kind of mood disorder knows how volatile a mood can be. Just when you think you’ve achieved stability, something can throw you completely off, and there you go down the spiral to panic and sadness again. For this reason, keeping a mood journal can be extremely beneficial.

By keeping a daily log of your emotional temperature, you can start to identify the patterns of behavior and are better equipped to catch a depressive episode before a full-blown relapse happens.

Some benefits of keeping a Mood Journal:
- It helps connect with your feelings.
- It helps process your emotions.
- It helps reset your mood.
- It helps reveal your emotional patterns, triggers, and unresolved emotional issues.
- It helps cultivate inner stability and equanimity.
- It will greatly improve your relationship with yourself and others.
- It keeps a record of your emotional journey.

A mood chart is a chart that has information on your mood, hours of sleep, and medications. Most people use mood charts to understand how their moods fluctuate, and also to recognize the influence of mood on other behaviors, such as sleep, energy, and eating. Charting is the best way to detect mood swings and will give you a tool to use with your doctor to fight disorders, such as bipolar disorder.

Great start, needs improvements

Hi!

This is the best, simplest version of mood tracking I’ve found. I would give this five stars just for that. Thank you so much for making it.

What takes away one star for me is two things:
1) there is a bug when inputting tags: the save button jumps around and sometimes blocks out the tag options. This can also happen at the main menu

2) there is no option to set a reminder notification. Ideally for me, a single note every hour (or whatever interval) would be very helpful for consistently gathering data in the long term, which is my personal goal.

That said I value the simplicity of this very much and I hope the developer only adjusts these minor tweaks.

Looking forward to changing this to 5 stars!

PS. the app logo could use a small makeover. The smiley face is a good image, but it’s a sad smiley and it’s a bit depressing to be using a sad smiley face everyday.

Good start

I appreciate the simplicity of this APP. The save bar gets in the way and even disappears but seems to work most of the time. I would like the ability to add positive and negative feelings or have a greater selection. This does help me track my daily mood for me to work on my feelings. Hopefully the developer will keep improving the functionality without significant complications of operation. Thank you for doing this.

It’s been helpful

I love that I can add different emotions to it, but I would like to remove some that aren’t useful or correct some that I made. For example, autocorrect changed an adjective I created, and now that misspelling is stuck indefinitely. Can you fix that?
