DITTY app is the only platform that allows you to rate and review individual menu items at a restaurant. With DITTY App, you can remember what you’ve eaten and whether or not you liked it and you can see what other people thought as well. In addition, this app gives you a way to directly, and anonymously, communicate with the restaurant about how they can improve their menu. We all know that it’s bad to judge a book by its cover, and at DITTY App, we believe that applies to restaurants also! While other platforms encourage you to rate a restaurant based on its appearance, atmosphere, and cost, DITTY App scores restaurants on the most important factor:

Version 1.1
Welcome to 2021 and the long-awaited release of DITTY App, version 1.1. This is a big update and impacts many areas both visually and behind the scenes. See below for a summary of changes!
- Large-scale rebuild to replace Google-based functionalities
- Significant improvements to app performance and speed
- Improved user log in and registration functions
- Better reliability
- More log in options (Facebook, Google, AppleID, or email)
- Added first implementation of "Categories" system:
- Item reviews can be filtered by meal type (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Item name can be selected to view only reviews pertaining to the item you are interested in
- When leaving a review, select the meal type to only see items relevant to that category
- Added a "Reviews" Tab which shows all reviews near your location, with the option to only see your own reviews
- Search bar at top of "Restaurants" tab searches through all contents related to the restaurants (i.e. you can search for a specific food item and see all restaurants that provide it!)
- Better handling of pictures uploaded by guests and restaurant owners
- Photos uploaded by restaurant will appear on a horizontal slider at the top of the Restaurant Detail page (click on photo to expand, drag to see more)
- Photos uploaded with a review now appear along with the review!
- More interactive features on Restaurant Detail pages
- Click on the phone number to call
- Click on the address to open navigation
That's about it for this version. The next version is already in the works with many new and exciting features coming in the future, including expansion of the categories system and more social interactivity. We are also looking into implementing a loyalty program system where you can earn points for leaving reviews!
