Peech AI Text to Speech Reader 4+

I’ve compared Peech to 5 of the other top text-to-voice apps. My primary use is listening to articles on news web sites (such as NYT, Washington Post, etc). As a whole, it works the best for me. First, while there is only one voice available, it is as good or better than all the other voices I’ve used in the other apps. It’s natural sounding and clear. More importantly, the speaker does not pause or stop in the middle of an article as it does in most all of the other apps. It also doesn’t drain your battery or make your phone hot as it does in other apps with longer articles. My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t work with the Washington Post, though converting the article to a PDF and loading the PDF does work. Finally, it would be nice if there was more control of the ordering of library items and if you could toggle on/off whether the app automatically reads the next article in the list. But overall, highly recommended.

Hi there! The app is really nice, and I’m enjoying listening to my writing/fanfics with it. With that said, I have some suggestions!

- Pronunciation tab, or a way for it to take from the set pronunciations I have in my phone. Because it mispronounces a bunch of words/names, so if I could have an ability to set pronunciations for it to use, that would be helpful!
- Reading options/settings in general? Just saying cuz I don’t like how it’ll take a really slow pace on short sentences, but it goes at a nicer pace on longer ones, and I wanna change that, because it really bugs me.
- I’d like a way to make edits to the text after importing, because sometimes with line breaks for dialogue it’ll just delete the line break, and smash them into one paragraph, which kind of annoys me.
- Maybe add a highlight to show me what it’s reading? Just on the sentence. Would be helpful!

If you could do some of that, or at least consider it, I would really appreciate it! And otherwise from those glaring little flaws, it’s a really nice tts app, and I’m enjoying using it! ^^

I loved this app until yesterday. For months it reliably read all the documents I uploaded, in a consistent and easily understood voice. Then yesterday, it added cheesy muzak to the background—the same horrible song over and over—and multiple tinny voices are going back and forth reading the same document for no apparent reason and to no benefit whatsoever. Please fix these changes. I’m a paid subscriber and the app is now unusable.
