Team Cogoo has created World of Mines as a small and humble campaign to help promote 2025 Completion Challenge and to raise awareness in our community. Whether you have 10 minutes, one hour, or plenty of time, you can help build a world free of land mines and promote the rights of landmine victims too!
THE WORLD IS STILL IN DANGER OF LANDMINES
The use of land mine is controversial because of their potential as indiscriminate weapons. They can remain dangerous many years after a conflict has ended, harming civilians and the economy. 78 countries are contaminated with land mines and 15000+ people are killed every year. Approximately 80% of land mine casualties are civilian, with children as the most affected age group. Most Killings occur in times of peace.
If you like old classic games such as chess, checkers, backgammon, solitaire, freecell as well as classic puzzle games like sudoku, tetris and crossword puzzles then this game is for you!

HOW TO PLAY
The objective of the game is to clear a country map containing hidden “mines” or bombs without detonating any of them, with help from clues about the number or neighboring mines in each field. The player is initially presented with a world map. The Player can select and choose to play a specific country by touching the country on the map. The game is played by revealing squares of the grid by touching each square. If a square containing a mine is revealed, the player loses the game. If no mine is revealed, a digit is instead displayed in the square, indicating how many adjacent squares contains mines. If no mines are adjacent, the square becomes blank, and all adjacent squares will be recursively revealed. The player uses this information to deduce the contents of other squares, and may either safely reveal each square or mark the square as containing a mine.

Pretty decent minesweeper
I like this game, as it is just a unique minesweeper. If you’re looking for much else you’re not going to find it. It’s pretty good when it comes to sweeper it works well Otherwise, I wish you could do more with collected mines beyond buying -some- of the colors. Like using them for one or two skins and maybe consumable power-ups or something would make them feel more involved.
Finally, I feel like you guys should really do a United States map, I seems kind of built for this treatment, or alternatively I would like Japan due to its prefectures unique shapes.
Great game, but a few flaws.
This game is great if you want a challenge, but sometimes it can get a bit annoying with their take on the game.
Mainly, my problem with the game is when there are multiple islands in a level. Half of the time you spend on one level is tapping each island to get a space that you can actually work on. This gets really tedious because you are constantly tapping on an island, losing, and trying again. After finally getting a space on each island, you get three lives but you have to watch an ad for each of them. After that you need to pay money for another life.
A tip I have for the developers of this game, is just to make it so that the mines generate once you tap on each island, or at least let us get a space on each island that we can actually work with. Besides that, this game is really fun to play!
More Countries, Please!
First, I gotta say that I _LOVE_ playing Minesweeper with this world map element! This game not only has a game level for each country on its world map, but you also get to color in whichever countries you “beat” and buy more color palettes with the mines and stars you win for each game!
I love that I’m learning more about geography by playing this game than I ever learned in school. For example, I didn’t know before I downloaded this game that France owned islands near Antarctica!
However, I wish that the world map was more detailed. I’d start by adding a landmass for Antarctica below where the French Antarctic Islands are on the map. Then I’d add a little area to the United States Minesweeper level for Hawaii (Alaska is its own separate level). Then I’d add a level “pack” of all of the counties in Mexico!
