The Home Inspection Wizard App was designed specifically for Texas licensed Home Inspectors. The HIW App uses the TREC promulgated form REI 7-5 which is the most current form that Texas Home Inspectors are required to use at the moment.

The main feature of the App is that it allows the user to create different sentence banks, under each category of the Inspection Form, so that the user can simply insert the most commonly used sentences into the report without having to type them each time one of these comments is needed.
In addition, the App allows the user to sub-categorize the sentence bank, which makes it easier to find the sentence he’s looking for. For example, if you want to save several sentences under the Attic section of the report, you can create several sub-categories within the Attic section, such as Insulation, Ventilation, Framing Issues, Water Stains, and so on. This makes it much easier to categorize your sentences and to find the sentences you need.
And of course, if you need to insert a sentence that is not pre-saved in your sentence bank, you can either type it in, or simply use the iPad microphone feature to speak it into the report.
Another cool feature about the App, is that it lets you insert a large number of photos in the report. And you can even pre-set the color and size of the arrows and circles which makes photo editing a breeze!
Once you edit your report, you can simply tap the email button, and send it to your client! And you can do all this before leaving the job site!
