Money Manager : Budget Planner 4+

Used YNAB in the past, but no longer wanted to pay the annual fee. My main criteria was finding a budget app that told me how much leftover money I had available after pre-setting my bills and income. MoneyManager does just that in a simple user interface. I can even project transactions for future dates with no issues! YNAB always gave me problems with this. Perfect for what I need in a budget app.

This is just what I need for a simple spend tracker. It does not require sign up or any set up. I just type the amount of spending, choose a category and add a memo. It is great to see how much I am spending every day. I can also export data to a CSV file.

The only reason that I do not give 5 star is that the categories could be more user friendly. When I add a new category, it is always at the end of the list. So I need to scroll all the way down to find it. If the categories can be sorted by the frequency of using, that would be more convenient. I also wish there could be additional tags allowed for a spending, for example, whether this spending is a necessity or not, whether the money spent is well worth it or not. But I can achieve this goal by creating new categories. Overall, it meets just what I need.

I’m a new homeowner and tracking my budget is a must now with mortgage, utilities, etc. This app is PERFECT! I’ve recommended it to my friends as well. It allows you to track all your expenses, create personalized expense/income categories, and export the data - which I do each month for review. My only peeve is that you can’t sort the categories automatically. I might be a lil particular, but I’d love the option to sort them alphabetically. You can manually sort them but it’s a hassle and some categories glitch out of order. Other than that, I’d recommend to anyone!
