What’s New

Version 2.5

This update adds an animation for the main Watch list Watch Photo that will mimic the spinning motion of a Watch Winder.
The Watch Photo is first cropped to a circle and will then rotate endlessly offering a visual cue to easily spot the Watches that are on Winder.
Animation gets activated when the Watch status is set to "On Winder".

Very close to great

This app is a nice way to keep the no on all my watches. It is pretty easy to load them, if you gather the info such as serial number, movement, etc. first. Adding photos is a snap and everything is well laid out.

Here’s what would make this a five star app.
There isn’t a lace to add certain bezel types. I suggest for ease of adding, make these ‘complications (I know they’re not really, but it’s an easy way to add them): 60 click unidirectional dive bezel, 120 click unidirectional dive bezel, bidirectional slide rule bezel, and bidirectional timing bezel.

There is no place to add an important measure, which is the Lug to lug’ measurement in millimeters.

There also doesn’t seem to be a way to add ‘wear days’ for a watch manually. A nice thing to have would be a calendar that allows you to click on a date and add that as a day a wa ch was worn. Maybe not unlimited but 60-90 days back would be nice for people like me loading up a collection.

The documents are nice. A great layout for the screen showing the watch collection would be something that looks like a glass top watch box.

Anyway, overall a really nice way to keep info on a watch collection. Nice job!

Many thanks for the review! Really pleased to hear you're liking the app.
Your suggestions are also great and definitely will consider them for future updates.. Regarding the 'wear days' the functionality is in fact keeping track of actual number of times the user has worn a specific watch. I.e. someone might wear three different watches during one day, so for ease of use it was decided to track actual usages together with last worn dates for each watch. The app is frequently updated and keeps getting better thanks to suggestions just like the one's you sent. Many thanks for these.

Addition 10th Jan 2024.
We have just released the "WatcheePro for iPad" version of the app that is a fully independent version of the app especially tailored for iPad users to better utilise the bigger screens and capabilities of iPad. Also the iPad version will have more features since the iPad devices enable more things to be shown on the screen etc. If you have an iPad, perhaps consider checking it out.

Cheers,

More Info

I love this app and I use it every day to log the watch I’m wearing. Without this app I never would have discovered that my 2 most worn watches are my Bulova Moonwatch (the black one), and a vintage Seiko 5.

I also have another suggestion for the app that I think users might enjoy. The app keeps track of how often you wear each watch, but I assume it also logs the days that each watch is worn. It would be cool to be able to select a certain date range to see your wear rate per watch during that time period. For example if you’re curious what your most worn watch of the summer was.

One more, one more. If we could do the same as the above, but by day(s) of the week. So I could, for example, choose Saturday and Sunday, and then see my wear rate for only Saturdays and Sundays, to know what my most worn weekend watch it.

Keep up the great work guys. Thanks to this app I finally have my watches organized with all their relevant info.

Update: ok another idea. This is another stupid but fun one, if easy to do. It would be cool if for each watch there was a single page snapshot for it. A 1 page layout that included an image and all relevant info all on one concise page. Just the important stuff. And if you want to make it fun, you can make it look like a basketball card or something.

Hi BarneySakhai,

First, let me thank you for choosing the Watchee app. I'm delighted to hear that you like it.
Next, about your suggestion, I think it's just wonderful! I really like the idea of showing the "cost per wear", it sure can be a valuable thing for many users of the app to be able to discover. This one will definitely go to the top of development list for Watchee,

Many thanks for the great suggestion, which will definitely make the app just that much better when the feature is implemented.

I wish you a very happy 2020!

Edit. Jan 19th. Your suggestion for the "cost per wear -functionality" a little over a week ago is now available with the v1.7.3 update of the app. Again, many thanks for this great suggestion, I find myself liking it a lot!

Edit. Jun 15th. Thank you again for a wonderful suggestion. The specific date range for the wear rate is unfortunately not easy to do with the current implementation. If there will ever be a "Watchee Pro", this would definitely need to be there! Many thanks for the great suggestion though and I hope you still enjoy using Watchee.

Cheers,
Anssi

Edit. Jul. 11th.
What a wonderful idea, I really like it. Right now there are some other things under the development queue for Watchee, but I will certainly add this to my todo-list! Love the idea.
Thank you so much once again and have a great summertime!

Really nice for multiple watch owners

At first I thought it was kind of gimmicky to open this app and press “worn today” every time I put on a watch but have grown to really appreciate it. For instance, I can see that since February I’ve worn my Oris 125 times which is more than my work chronograph at 88. Guess I love my Oris lol. It is VERY handy though if I decide I might want a new strap for a certain watch but can’t remember what lug size, or how long the power reserve is supposed to be, or even when I bought it or when the warranty expires. It’s all right there. It’s also nice when you meet a fellow watch collector you can just open it up and there are all your watches, brochures, stats etc. They’ve been amazing with frequent updates that add more and more great features.
