Description

The world has been overrun by demons and there’s only one chicken that can stop them. How? By smashing into them head-first. Why? I’m not sure.

Super Fowlst is an an action game about dodging bullets, squishing monsters and grabbing loot. There’s sprawling stages to conquer, huge bosses to defeat, and all manner of gadgets and gizmos to interact with. Trade your treasure for cool powers like egg bombs and rockets so you can really show those demons who’s boss!

- Unlimited, procedurally generated stages that are different every time you play.
- Simple controls: touch the left side of the screen to hop left, right - side to hop right, swipe up to use the item you are holding.
- Smash demons in half!
- Buzz saws! Turbines! Tubes! Stalactites! Pinball flippers! Other stuff!
- Huge bosses!
- Two dog heads held together by ghosts!
- Trade your loot for powerful upgrades.
- Big explosions!
- 30 unlockable characters!
- Secrets!
- Shoot rockets out of your behind!
- Super Fowlst!
- It’s very good!

Super fun but hard

This game is totally awesome! I've never found an area that was the same as the last! Ads aren't popping up in your face at all and it's so satisfying to destroy the red dudes in every way possible. I only have 2 complaints.
The first one is that when you lose hearts (you only have three), it takes a MIRACLE to get them back. Even if I smash every single crate in the area, finding something to replenish my health is extremely rare, so I die too easily. With how perilous some areas are (springs that send you helplessly bouncing off the walls combined with fire spots on the same walls within beating just a few levels), it becomes really frustrating to die so quickly and start over so many times. I try to watch an ad for a heart when I die but for me the ads don't load and the game freezes so I have to restart the app.
My second complaint is, no matter how hard I try, I CANNOT beat the boss in area 9! Supposedly there are bosses further on, but I can't get past that one area! The boss is always huge, extremely fast, and disappears off the screen WHILE FIRING AT YOU!! Area 9 is so big that when the boss flies out of view, you NEVER know where it's gonna attack from next! If you want us to be able to enjoy the game and reach more levels, why make the very first boss be so hard? This game is addicting but since I can't get any further than the first boss, I'm feeling myself slowly lose interest.

Fantastic Mobile Game

Honestly this game is so fantastic for what it is, and I could easily see this transfer to other platforms in its current state. The graphics are pixelated but not low quality, the music is super catchy, and the mechanics are unlike a lot of games I’ve played. I would say that the characters are a tad bit on the expensive side, but you really just have to grind the coins to get them. The best part comes down to the little ads you receive. There are no pop up ads after death, and only ads you choose to play for double coins. It would be nice if the despawn timer for power ups was a little bit longer though, as sometimes I can’t see the power ups and get to them late... Also, I would like an upgrade that made it possible to hold multiple power ups at once, since I’ve ran into situations where I wanted one item as well as another without wasting them... Thanks for this amazing game!

More scummy behavior from a scummy dev

Recently several developers have been enticed to join Playond’s shady subscription model by the promise of money. There’s of course nothing wrong with seeking ways to monetize your hard work, but apps that join Playond become locked to the service, rendering them unplayable unless you pay the weekly—yes, WEEKLY—subscription fee. For the record, at Playond’s current cost of $2.49, that comes out to roughly $130/year. And while this is bad enough for formerly free-to-play games like Super Fowlst (and if you paid for in-app purchases like new characters or an ad-free experience, you’re as out of luck as the rest of us), it’s even worse for paid apps like CatCup’s original Fowlst. Players who outright bought the app are now stuck unable to access their own purchase unless they fork over a weekly fee. Regardless of the sheer absurdity of that weekly subscription model, that’s a massive slap in the face to your existing consumer base. Devs that shackle their apps to the Playond service are thinking only of their own pockets, not of their customers, and they deserve nothing. We can only hope that Playond falls into financial ruin due to its ridiculous business practices in the very near future.
