Customer service is outstanding!
Had a hacker attack online shopping app!
I called Five Star customer Service explained about the unauthorized transaction. My debit card was immediately shut down and I was issued a new debit card. Refunded money andI was able to pay houses account utilities etc.
Thankful for the professionalism that quickly turned my bad experience into a blessing of peace of mind.

I really regret having my CDs tied up with Five Star. I waited 55 minutes to talk to customer service. I could not change or leave even leave instructions not to renew the CDs. Have to wait for the 10 day window. Can’t imagine having to wait this long again to speak to the customer service to cancel the auto renew on several. It’s almost like the central office staff really enjoys aggravating their customers. In contrast, their local staff is great.
Navy Federal had this option on their web site so I was able to have several choices to change what I wished to do with my mature CDs at any time. I don’t remember being asked when I bought these if there were any options. My fault. Hope this helps others not to tie up their money this way when there are plenty of other Banks that give you a choice in case your can’t make the 10 day window and be stuck with the interest rate the bank chooses. This is a rule that only benefits this type of bank. It should be illegal for banks to make the decision for their customers since they could choose a much lower rate than the owner wishes.

I shave been with five star since I was 19. I am 53 now. love this bank. The employees have ALWAYS been extremely kind and very helpful. Lately I have been working on my accounts with Tina and she has always has the answer to every question, and if she isn’t 100% sure she double checks. All the employees have always been very helpful and very kind. I recommend this bank.
