Description
RUClosed provides a clean, easy-to-use, interface that allows users to track closings nationwide. Whether it’s your school, work, or church, this nifty little app provides the flexibility to see cancellations of all types in cities across the United States.
Why waste your time on other snow day closing apps that simply give a best-guess prediction when RUClosed can tell you with near 100% certainty if your place is closed. RUClosed also provides contact information, such as phone numbers and web sites for quick and easy verification of the closing details.
Users can favorite cities and specific places and RUClosed provides them with real-time updates as well as the ability to share closings with their friends. The database of closings also allows users to easily see how many times places have been closed going back to January 2018.
Whether it’s stormy weather, burst water pipes or a last-second change in schedule, if there is a closing, RUClosed will know about it.
Recently added: Push Notifications messages for closings of your Favorite Cities and Favorite Places. Just enable Notifications when the App prompts you or in the App Settings and you will receive a message when a closing status changes. No email address or phone numbers are required for this new feature.

Very Impressed, but not sure how much I trust it.
I tried lots of apps like this one and it seems like every one of them has been a total flop. It’s so easy to use and it’s very accurate! Now, I wouldn’t make this my go-to for seeing if there’s a closing/delay that may affect me just because I’m not sure what network the information is coming from. If it’s an unstable network, there could easily be a mistake. So though this is a good app, I would check your local news to see if you have a closing or delay.

For this reason, we provide detailed information for every place reported which can contain phone numbers and their direct web site. We also provide links to local news sources for every city that we cover for additional confirmation.
It would be of great assistance if you could forward us any closing information that you see that is not accurate. Our goal is to make this the best app out there and your help is much appreciated!
Would be 5 Stars
Would be 5 stars if they had Port Angles as a city in the app and also showed closings for storms like hurricanes :) I also notice that some pins are not where they should be, for example the last time I checked, Bluefield WV was in not in Antarctic even though this app show it there.
Edit: Developer was very nice at addressing the issues stated above and I have now changed my review to 5 stars because this app is just wonderful. 😀

Thanks for the tip on the city, I added Port Angeles WA this morning. I once stayed there on my way to Olympic National Park, beautiful area!
Also fixed the bug on Bluefield WV, that was a nice catch by you, thanks!
By the way, RUClosed captures closings for all kinds of storms, hurricanes/tornados/snow etc. It does do a better job of capturing snow storm closings though.

Ehh.....
I kind of don’t trust if there’s a snow day because if I stay home and I don’t know that there’s school/work then I’ll get in trouble, otherwise, good app

In version 1.6, we added detailed information for every place that we report on. This includes information such as the phone number and the web site of the place. This should give you the information you need to confirm if there is a snow day (or not).
