Version 2024.2
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the latest release! I've been listening and have made a bunch of updates:
- Added the ability to long press the hourly forecast chart to view sunburn and vitamin D estimates for any time of day
- Added more sunscreen options for the sunburn timer
- Added sunrise/sunset times to the favorites screen
- Other minor bug fixes and improvements

Love it!
Myself and my kids are all very fair skinned. I can’t tell if or when we need to apply sunscreen, just by looking outside. Sometimes the rays are strong, even when it looks cloudy, or not that bright out. That’s where this app comes in. It tells me how strong the rays are, hourly, and estimates how long it would take us to burn. I love this app!!! It’s cheap too! Only $2.99 per year. I use it all the time! First I check my weather app for rain, then I use this app to check the rays. I highly recommend this app. To the owners/creators, please don’t drastically increase the subscription cost.

Best UV exposure app I could find
… and I tried several on the App Store. The user interface is more professionally done, and not many others have sunburn and vitamin D info.
I would love a watch app! Also, it would be amazing if you could get sunburn and vitamin D info for the predicted UV index (not just the current one).
EDIT: noticed that there already is a watch app! I’ve been using it daily for the last two weeks, and it has been very smooth.

Thanks for the review! There's actually already a Sunbeam app for Apple Watch, which you should be able to download as long as you're on the latest version of watchOS. Just drop me a line if you have any problems finding it.

Who woulda thunk . . .
that I would find an app that tells me the UV index so useful? But I use it all the time. This app gives you the UV index forecast hour by hour. It also gives you the UV index forecast for the coming days. It even, with a touch of the screen, lets you know how long it will take you to get your daily vitamin D at a given UV index and how long it will take you to get a sunburn at that same UV index.
Well worth the paltry yearly subscription price, IMO.
