Someday you’re ready to fly on a new interesting location. But little did you know, there’s a small airport nearby. Flying a drone there would be considered a felony.
Don’t let this happen, plan your flights by checking AURA in advance. Check wether a location is drone-restricted or how far is it from the restricted area.
Currently there are 60k+ NFZs in our database! If you know an NFZ that's not included in AURA, just let us know. Our team will verify it.

● We've added Precipitation Type, Precipitation Intensity, Snow Amount, & Snow Depth Info under the Precipitation Probability section.*
● New Atmospheric Pressure info is now available! It's sophisticatedly calculated by taking into account your location's altitude, temperature, gravity, & air density. This information is very important because it affects the flight characteristics of your drone.
● You can now dismiss the Info Page by tapping outside it, for faster operation.
● Refined algorithm for the Solar Activity measurement.
● Improved visibility of selected location & time.

Great App
I would say that this app is pretty spot on when it comes to planning a flight. Iv used it 3 times now and it seems to be pretty spot on most of the time. The only downside I see is having to pay money for LIVE updates, other than that its a GREAT app to use. I like how much information is packed into it like the mapping that shows you Airports and Hospitals and such all in one app.

LIVE updates are indeed FREE for all users. The presented data is the most recent data and you can ask for weather data anytime & anywhere you are. We only suggest you to be a paid user if you want to use Aura intensely, do time travel without time & distance limit, or if you want to enjoy the rest of Aura's cool features without limitation.

Good looking, but…
1) It disagrees with other drone specific weather apps and even with what I’m seeing outside as far as local conditions. 2) If there’s a Cloud Base feature or setting to enable the readout I can’t find it. Either incorporate Cloud Base or give me a Dew Point readout so I can calculate it myself without opening another weather app. Again, sexy looking app, but I can’t trust it because it’s inconsistent with current conditions I can physically feel and see while other apps are more representative of the actual conditions. I’ll keep it on my device, though, in hopes of a reliable app in future updates. Hopefully the owners will invest their earnings into R&D for needed improvements. ETA: App could use customizations like longpressing a tile to add/change or remove a tiles information. For example, I don’t need sunrise/sunset so getting rid of it or replacing it with something more preferable (dew point, cloud base) or just decluttering and reorganizing the tiles to taste would be phenomenal! Also, needs option to display pressure reading in inHg
Smart looking app
Very nice looking app. It would be nice if I’t had a direct tie in to LAANC but it is a forecast app. Love the interface look and feel. It seemed a bit clunky having to go to a different (map) mode to move locations but I get the flow. Unfortunately it doesn’t warn my of the flight restrictions Vandenburg Space Force Base has in place near me. I need to go to an entirely different app to see that. I popped for a year, I’ll see how it goes. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be family shareable. Would be 5 stars otherwise.
