Cool mechanics, bad ad placement
The mechanics are easy to learn, the ball falls with traditional physics and can be accelerated by tapping the screen so timing is everything. There are random “super jump” blocks which make the gameplay more interesting. This has the fundamentals of a game you could get hooked on if not for the layout of the ads.
Though playing an ad to continue is clever, I personally don’t like seeing an ad to start over, every time. A few lives or attempts before the ads would be nice and give a player a chance to get the mechanics down and have enough time to get hooked on the gameplay. I mean I’m use to ads but what’s the point of starting over if I have to see an ad anyway? Might as well just constantly continue. The ads in this manner are intrusive to learning the mechanics. I learn quicker than most lol, by my third attempt I went from a few successful jumps to 42 stars (42 jumps). The last time I attempted to play the ad crashed and didn’t allow me to close it. I was forced to start over and honestly the ads are so much in the way it’s a deterrent to playing. Basically the ads kind of make it unplayable.
Overall the game is fun and the ads don’t allow the player to form a connection with the game before the ads play. If the ads were reworked and a live system were implanted, I’d give this more stars.
