Got worse

Along with fitness and notifications, the Timer is close to being the killer app for the Apple Watch. The current version is much less usable than previous. With the recent timers at the top, I essentially always have to scroll to find the time I want. And with each recent entry being a full-width button, the preset values are even farther away. And since I’m scrolling, the targets for the presets are never in a predictable place on the screen making it even fiddlier to select the one I want. The reset and pause buttons right in the corners on the running timer view are kind of nice for being able to find them without looking. Though I sometimes accidentally pause a timer without noticing and that’s not great. Besides fixing the regression above, to make the app truly great you would let me control what the default timer values are (my kingdom for a 20 minutes default!)

WatchOS 8 Update Tedious to Use

The change that moved the recent timers to the top makes it tedious to use the standard presets. On top of that, using the standard presets (1,3,5,10,etc.) now *also* adds those to the recent timer list, wasting this space with duplicates of whichever standard timers you use.

In addition to taking longer to scroll to get to the standard presets, if you also use specific custom timers often, they will be quickly pushed off of the recent timer list whenever the standard timers are used.

More specifically for hope I use timers: I use various timers throughout the day. I usually use the fixed presets, but I also frequently use 20 and 40 minute custom timers. I used to be able to quickly start a 20 or 40 minute timer from the recent timer list (previously at the bottom) -- however since I don't use the same timer every use, I end up having to use a custom timer almost every time I need 20 or 40 minutes, taking more time to do so, and essentially rendering the recent timer list pointless. (Well *worse* then pointless because I still have to scroll past it to get to the fixed presets.)

Watch timer

I’ve loved this app since I got my watch, but the latest update really screwed it up. Moving recents above the standard times makes the app much harder to use. Please let me move the standard timers above the recents. I time many different things, so recents don’t help me at all. Thanks.
