This game deserves an award.

My Museum was made with so much care. It is a real, full game that could easily be an indie PC game, not a copy-pasted cash grab like most mobile games. The art style is incredibly charming and there are so many little details that were completely unnecessary but add to the experience- I loved finding secrets such as dog and cat visitors. There is never any pressure to buy anything. You are able to earn and find more premium currency than you could possibly need. There is the occasional ad, but only rarely, and it is always skippable within 5 seconds. Today I am proud to say I achieved full completion (all fossils) after 67 hours of playtime! Mobile games with no achievable end frustrate me, as a completionist who would love to truly finish games before I move on to new ones. But this game has no updates, no limited time events, no DLC. It is a whole, complete work that never leverages time or currency against you. I do wish there was more of a tutorial, as I had to find many features (like rearranging the exhibits, one of my absolute favorite parts!) on my own, but that is the ONLY thing I can think of to complain about. I never even found a single bug, just a tiny bit of lag. It was truly one of the best mobile gaming experiences of my life. If there was an award for the highest quality mobile games, My Museum would be nominated in a heartbeat. Don’t wait any longer, get this game!

Phenomenal Game

This game has earned all of its high star ratings. Really, it looks like it wouldn’t be very nuanced, but in my opinion, it is the ideal free game.
The game’s premise is simple. You dig for fossils, you put them in the museum, you get money to dig for more fossils. Toss in some upgrades here and there, and you are able to progress through the game. Typically, you’d expect for this process to require you to wait for hours for you museum to collect coins. However, you are able to actively play this game and have no need to wait for the next upgrade. This is something that shouldn’t be so rare, but this game allows you to catch up with the current content. It doesn’t put day long build timers like you’d expect it to, it lets you get right into the next part of the game, right away. Apart from the simple gameplay, it is just aesthetically pleasing. It doesn’t have a whole bunch of banner ads, it focuses on simple animations of the mining and museum, and even puts in an animation before a forced ad appears, allowing you to be prepared (I also noticed that the ads shifted from being primarily unskippable ads into either instant skip or 5 second skip ads, which was also a big plus).
If you’re looking for a game that is challenging, this isn’t the right choice, but I would still recommend this app because it is probably one of the best finds on the App Store I have had in years.

From 4 to 5

I can’t remember if I had left a review or sent an email. Either way, I had said the game was a 4.5. It’s not like you have to hover in the app. It doesn’t have as many dark patterns. When I’m waiting for better upgrades I check in to get the offline rewards then come back, do upgrades and go hunt for fossils.

I had given the game a 4/5 because all of the skeletons were the same size. While velociraptor is still ‘too big’ I understand not only will most people not recognize real velociraptor was Coyote size and also some of the beautiful details would not really stand out of some of the models were smaller so I will let some of them go because I do understand from the technological side. That being said, now I guess since I have played (it was a very long time) I’m very impressed with some of the changes recent updates have brought out.

Very fun and fairly realistic at least for a mobile game. You rarely find a perfect complete skeleton and the general public would be frustrated by an incomplete fossil. What, is scientific discovery not exciting enough for you? Fairly fun game and there is great attention to detail, it works smoothly and the ads are not overwhelming. Developers and everyone who put work into this app really did good.
