It is recommended that the Lens Scanner app is used by individuals 18 years old and above, with stable vision, and who are happy with their current prescription. Further requirements include cylinder measurement lower than -2.50 and single vision prescription between -6.00 and +3.00.
It is not recommended to use the Lens Scanner app if you:
• Have a progressive, multifocal, or bifocal prescription
• Have a prescription that includes a prism measurement
• Have a high single-vision or astigmatism prescription
• Take any medication that affects your vision
• Have any illness or condition that affects your eye health

I’m shocked it worked
My son needed new glasses and we weren’t hearing back from the eye doctor fast enough. His rx was current, we just needed access to it. I wasn’t able to use my glasses to test this (I know the rx to verify). My rx was too high to read lol. So i just went with what it gave me on here for his. It was excellent.
The app was tricky to do, it took me about 30 minutes of Move your glasses closer to the camera/computer many. Many. Many times. Not sure if that was actually part of the process or I was just not steady enough. Either way I don’t care. This was awesome.
What?!
I came across an add about this app and I said “why not?” expecting another scam that asks you to subscribe just to get the wrong prescription. Well clearly that wasn’t the case, the app gave me the exact prescription my eye doctor had previously prescribed! This is something I wasn’t expecting at all! Tech industry has come a long way indeed. I suggest you also check out the cool designs on the website if you’re in the market for a new pair of glasses.

Forgot where my prescription was when I was buying online and with this app it told me !! Well done! Why go to an optom anymore when you can just scan, browse, try and buy all with smartbuyglasses! Well done !
